if you take out the hats, crafting, and and stupid weapons, and the ability to BUY things - tf2 would still have its original glory.
to me now its just an fps version or WoW.....

The hats are also not a problem for me. But it makes me feel the game is becoming pay to win although the items you can buy don't do very much. I played Counterstrike competitively for a decent number of years and with random terrorists or counter-terrorists running around with santa clause hats on doesn't have a good appeal to me.
There won't be any hats in the game. CS:S doesn't have characters like TF2 does, it has no element of comedy or even slight humour. It just wouldn't fit. Maybe small things like customizable armour and stuff at most, but not tophats and crap like that.
