CS:S worth it?

Hello CS:S division, I'm gonna be making $140 soon after selling my unusual from TF2. I wanted to buy a few steam games, and I wanted to buy one game that's eGO related.
A few years ago i remember playing the first counter strike.
Just wondering if CS:S is still fun?

Honestly, mods can be fun but game can get boring...but can be fun if you play with people.

You can get better games, but imo, there's still fun to be had. So, if you are thinking about it, I'd say go for it!

Same. Not sure why but I always come back to CSS. I play cod for a week, then back to CSS.

Buy Day of Defeat Source instead, CSS is broken & has the worst hit-reg in any FPS. Unless you want to play jail then buy it!

CS:S is one game you just have to own. It's just something that must be done. You may hate this game with a passion, but you still need to own it. Try it. If you don't like normal gameplay, play on our jail server. You'll love it.

Buy DOD:s and CS:s. get the best of both worlds.

Just get it from retail, it comes with both CS:S and DoD:S for like $20.

You may want to wait because there are a lot of games coming out either this fall or early next year. I'd wait and invest in those games.

I bought it retail w/ HL2M and DoD:S for around 20 bucks. If you look on Amazon or else shop around you can probably get a better deal than Steam.

I'd recommend it, but as BlackMass said, BF3, MW3, and CS:GO are all slated for release fairly soon. If you already have pre-ordered at least one, I'd say buy CS:S. If not, save up for them. It's still a great game, just eventually gets old after you play a few unsuccessful rounds.

Don't listen to all the haters. There is a reason Counter-Strike has been around for almost 13 years now, and its not because it's "broken". It really is the best PC game over the last decade. No one can deny it's longevity and loyal following, so just buy it!
