I like ranked clans, but the problem is, a lot of people get upset in regards to why some got promoted and they didn't. eGO is a very large community, so having an actual military-based ranking system would probably be very difficult to properly maintain.

I concur. While this is an EXCELLENT idea and works well for groups just venturing out into the land of servers and leadership, eGO has been around far too long and has too many members to make this a viable option. Leadership would have to spend days working out what the new ranks would be, then assigning each player a group. Sadly, it just can't happen.

You've been here a week. eGO just celebrated its FIFTH birthday as a gaming community. No...We're not set up like military. But in a week, you should have noticed that there are e's, eG's, eGO's, Advisors, Division Leaders, Council members, Community Managers, and has beens like myself. LOL That's enough "actual" ranks for members to strive to achieve.

Instead of focusing on what rank you have in your tags, the best thing to focus on is having fun in the servers. Get to know the community before you decide it should be changed. After all, is a couple of letters before or after your in-game name going to save you from being sniped?
