Are you still getting Battlefield 3 after reading that their EULA can monitor you and all files on your computer?

Also, if they deem it "required by law" they can report your file use to outside parties.

They changed the EULA. It is now more end user friendly so to speak. And all EULAs have a "if required by law" clause. This is kinda a non-issue imo.

As said in the last thread where this was brought up, it has been going on for years. This is nothing new and Origin isn't the first to do it. P.S. They won't be the last either.

Pff, I'm already on Origin. Of course I'll buy it.

Origin does what every other digital distributor that operates off it's own platform does.

They monitor what's coming into their gaming sessions so they can determine what to do about malicious and/or buggy things to provide players with better/more options of playing that specific game. There's always going to be some iffy things like "why would they look into that folder?" but honestly, if you're that paranoid, just get off the computer and never get back on again because your ISP and even microsoft does that every time you update or access the the internet. A bit exaggerated in the example, but this is nothing new and honestly is just plain annoying to hear about at this point. (no offense to the thread creator)

:( Still getting BF3, they can look at my pictures all they want, and then some.

im still gonna buy it, EA has actually improved their customer service department quite a bit and in my experience orgins actually seems to download games faster than steam of the few games i have downloaded (due mostly probably because of the lower amount of people using it but as of right now it seems faster)

Only if I can get some writing sold, as I am an XP user, and currently can not afford win 7, have thought of selling my street bike for the money but the wife said no to that, also wouldn't mind going quad core and some more ram, winning the lotto would help tremendously...:)

I have nothing to hide. I preordered BF3 and will not cancel it.

Let's clarify. I have yet to read if anybody WAS getting BF3 and AFTER hearing about the EULA decided NOT to get it.

If you're not going to get it, that's absolutely fine. But this is about the EULA affecting purchasing, not a BF3 popularity contest. Let's keep the subject on track.
