Ever since I joined eGO, people harassed me for it. Not just them, but most of my friends don't like eGO for some reason and argued to me about it. I don't think I want to be this anymore, I just can't. I may be at risk of being hacked if I continue being eGO anytime longer. I am sorry. If I could, I may wait out the storm and see if I could come back to eGO...

I hope you understand, and I will still visit the servers.

Let the haters hate. I see no reason why anyone would be harassed for joining any community or clan. Especially those you consider your "friends". At the same time, someone 'hacking' you for being in =eGO=?! Find new "friends".

=eGO= is a very positive community, and for those who do not like =eGO=, they all have false reasons.

Stay or go as you please - do what you feel is best for you, but you shouldn't let people push you around, especially on the internet.

Regardless of your choice, I think you will always be welcome here at =eGO=

Look man make your own choice. But let it be from your view and not from your friends. And if you stay and your friends either hate you are leave you they are not your true friends even if you grew up with them when you were young. A true friend will respect the choice made by you and stick to it. As well be there for you when times are tough.

When you think about it you can see their point of view. EdgeGamers is very controlling and restrictive. The folks at EdgeGamers want to restrict what you say and how you act. You can't change names whenever you want. You have to think about what you say so nobodies tender little feelings get hurt. Who would want that?

You can see why not very many people outside of eGO like us. They do often see us as a generalization, a generalization that shows us as oppressive, malevolent and strict. While, when you actually get to know us, we're just the same as any gamer you can see on steam.
It's a personal decision on how you wish to act in game, you're always free to take off your tag while not on our servers and not be bound by our rules on other servers so I don't see why your friends should complain. If they only care about what clan/community you are in then they aren't real friends, confront them about it and either sort things out or remove them. You won't get hacked, you've got as much chance of getting phished as everyone does, so don't start worrying now.

Very much this. I have friends who hate eGO, my best friend hates eGO, but he doesn't do anything about it and he even joins me on eGO occasionally, because he's a friend. If somebody can't handle something as minor as being in a clan, clear your friends list.

This problem has been around since I've been here. Not harassment but just the haters hating on eGO members and eGO. I honestly couldn't care less, I always wear my tag in pub servers, I just zip my mouth, ignore them, and play the game.

And Quaffer is right, think of it how he wrote it. I actually enjoy being in a more strict community since you won't have a terrible mess.

Lol I always get trolled in other servers for being in eGO but I always put them in their place, I always have my tags on no matter what server I am in, proud to be a member of this community always.

I used to take my tags off when entering other servers because I didn't want to take the flak that I had heard members often get.

After awhile of doing that I stopped because I found out I only wanted to play on our servers. I love the environment, I love it being family friendly. Sometimes I still play on other servers and I leave my tags on now. I don't let anyone goad me or I just ignore anyone that tries to write anything. Really all they do when they do that is drive me back to eGO

Just like I told my son, I'll tell you.

When this occurs, sit all your friends down in a chair.

Order them to put their hands behind their back, failure to comply will result in immediate death.

Tie their hands up with weed-eater string, that way if they struggle, it'll only cut their wrists until they bleed out.

Grab an axe, and say "I'm going to stay in eGO. If any one of you <censored> <censored> has a problem with it, I will kill you."(Or in the case of my son, Christians trying to enforce their views upon him.)
