Is there squads?

Call me a fool or anything else but I am sure this question has been answered before. For most games (Maybe not TF2), are based in a strategic, hardcore manner. Which brings to my attention a idea I have from past experience.

Squads. Yeah, thats right. With squad leaders, officers and members. Squads that can organize a big structure, help new players to a game (which is helpful), not to mention opening a big diversity (Ooo Rhino Squad Versus the Elite eGO squad OOOOOO) of friendly competitions/tournaments.

I use to be part of a actual strategic clan (And I not sure if this is allowed to advertise or talk about other groups) known as Tactical Gaming [TG]. TG had the same thing with divisions like ours now but also a Division Leader which lead 12 squads and then squad leaders led 12 people and so on.

Now you are thinking before even getting down to this paragraph, "Dude, this is for fun, not super serious." I totally agree but I also agree to disagree to your disagreement so I can agree. Back on topic, I was really good in TG, I cant remember my squad now atm but I was better then the Squad Leader himself and all others on Battlefield: Bad Company 2. I was dishonorably discharged however after about a week for reasons I disagree with. But enough of that, back to squads. (Though you can pm if you want more info but I doubt it)

Has this been done before? Is there squads? If not, can we open one even for a test drive?

Leave your thoughts here as I am just a newbie to eGO and would love to hear your guy's thoughts on my thinking.

My idea for a squad name for me: Rhino Squad

Sorry for making this post so BIG, just had to get my idea's out there.

I read some parts of this, but Im just goint to say play our realism campaign. Realism with us in general even.

We do not have squads just for regular play, but we do have squads in some events.

My goodness, this sounds like a wonderful idea, why has this not been done before? 'Squad' sounds too serious though, let's rename it something else to give it more of a light hearted feel. Maybe ... houses? Yea we could try that. Maybe some houses could be exclusive and we could have battles between houses and the like. Wunderbar!

Squads within the division probably won't happen Skuller, leads to too many negatives with not enough positives. However, we have been toying with the idea of including a more substantial squad element into our realism campaign which will be starting soon. However, squads in this instance will most likely be set by the Cincs and not just naturally formed from players who tend to hang out together, not sure how it's all going to work out yet. But as Malpractice Compton mentioned (Mp.Compton?), you should most definitely join us for events, especially our realism events.

As Sumac teased we used to have houses in the DoD Division. They were more analogous to Brigades or Companies than to Squads. Each house was charged with the promotion of a specific map: Donner, Flash, Avalanche, Kalt, Strand. They were disbanded not quite three years ago. The argument being that the houses resulted in isolationism between each house and the other houses.

Do not expect them to return.

I will most likely check it out once I find out where it's being hosted and by who and when and so forth. ^_^

Isolationism? How did that happen? It sounds like a neat idea, just looks like it needs some revamping to exceed well.

It started to become if you were apart of the Flash group and went to Donner, the Donner group wouldnt welcome you, so you ended up never leaving your map, and a community cant work like that.
