PTFO movement

That is one thing I've always tried to do. Go for the objectives. If your working together with your teammates(especially in ventrilo) its still pretty easy to maintain a positive K/D.

A lot of time in rush the attackers will get stopped and dominated by the defense. When that happens you end up with 10 snipers on offence because people are trying to save their K/D. Which in the end just compounds the team imbalance.

Its always better to work together and go for the objectives.

Personally, I love stats .. and I pride myself on my 2.5 Kill-Death ratio. At the end of the day, I am usually on top with the most kills. While I may not be the guy running into the objective and dieing, I am certainly always pulling my weight by making enemies dead and clearing the way for my team.

Sniping in the uncap is one thing, but successfully sitting off to the side and unleashing chaos is another.

Don't mind me, but I'm going to take this time to gloat a little..

Try not to be bothered by my obsession with stats. It's been a sickness since I can first remember playing an online FPS with any form of stats. x_x

The way I look at it - If we have the upper hand, I will camp and be a killing machine, but trust me, when my team is pinned down in our uncap or not capable of advancing, I do try and get my team out of the hole, usually by attempting to flank. (Thankfully, BF3's more open maps should allow for better flanking). The people who run straight out and have a 5-20 k/d score at the end of the round aren't helping the team any besides depleting tickets.

It really is a highly debatable subject, as a "real-life" friend I used to game with was always a medic and objective-go-getter. He would end rounds with a .5 KD but truly help our team win .. in fact, back in COD4 Leagues, he was a wonderful teammate to have that allowed us to go 72 win to 15 losses. Both me and him are on total opposite sides of the spectrum when it comes to how we play games, but together, we used to kick some serious fanny!

So yeah, I can understand PTFO, but I'll be off in the corner supporting the PTFO supporters. :D

I like my stats. After I've played TF2, I probably won't get over that. However, in BC2 I try to support the team. I can see what Burns is saying: 5/20 is just losing tickets. However, in those tickets they might have armed an open point, then left it to be defended by the team. I go both ways. People shouldn't focus on stats, and they should just play the game. However, stats are fun to shoot for and it isn't in any way entertaining to have a low K/D or PPM ratio.

I enjoy the game more when I am on a server with a group of players more concern stats and everyone works as a team and play the objective. When I am on a server with a group more concern with stats I generally leave the crap. Bunch scared chicken in the battle. Play the game have fun work as team to complete the goals.

My main objective in game to have fun & win. Most of the time when you log in you will be placed on the losing team, that said you will have your work cut out for you. For those who have a high K/D ratio congradulations, you have mastered that kit and it is usually the one you will fall back on in tough times or just play that kit because its comfortable for you. For me personally stats are not a big deal. Sure a nice killer K/D ratio is great. The better K/D will come over time as you master the game. Case in point, i was in the hardcore rush mode. I have only played about three times in that map I was in a unfamiluar territory and running in the wrong direction...lol woops. Thank goodness for vent because my fellow =eGOers= saved my tail... and we all had a good laugh @ my expence. It was a great way for me to wind down after a long arduous day at work. Swamp :)
