Where did your name come from?

Just about ever since I got CS:S, my in-game name was always just my real name (Blake). Can't remember using anything else. I was never creative enough to choose a cool or creative username.

Then I was in class one day and I wanted a new username for whatever reason. Being the un-creative person I am, I turned to my friends for ideas. One of my friends just came up with "Drastic." I thought that was cool enough, so I stuck with that and we decided to capitalize one of the letters. dRastic is just what we chose.

I changed it to dRastic1337 because of course, "drastic" is already taken on Google, Twitter, Bad Company 2, etc. so I needed to slap something onto my username. "1337" is what I chose. I know, noobish and unoriginal, but whatever. My username had still been dRastic at the time, but I wanted it to be more consistent with all of my other accounts, so I changed it to dRastic1337 to match everything else.

It came from a Aqua Team Hunger Force episode where it and err fire the quad lazer at shake and tell him " don't bother trying to run. Yeah! juumping is useless!"

Great post Gocho!, i've always wondered where people come up with their unique nicknames, but never thought to ask. Mine goes back to Halo:combat evolved on PC back in 2002-2003. The day I installed it I was reading about the Mythical hero Samson (at the time i was playing a lot of city-building games). It interested me and at the time my hair was pretty long....i figured it was fitting! So it stuck....the 07 is because some evil individual thought of it before me

My name came from almost every First Person Shooter out there, in which you end up coming at just the right time to help some guy, or save some hostage, or assassinate some fellon, by shooting some bad guy(s) (obviously). Thus, BrassTourniquet seemed like a fitting name, looking forward to "Saving" you guys on the field! [Salute]

When I joined eGO my name was 'A pimp named Slickback' from that show 'The Boondocks'. I bought CS:S about 2 weeks before I joined eGO. The same night I bought it I had been watching that show. When it came time to pick a name, since I had just been watching the episode where grandad accidentally hooks up with a prostitute and her pimp 'A pimp named Slickback' comes back and gets her. So, since that was fresh on my mind I used that as my CS:S name. About 2 weeks later I decided to join EdgeGamers and I signed up using that name. Once I was in EdgeGamers and learned a bit more about the community and the people in it, I decided to change my name to 'The Judge'.

The Judge is a nickname that was given to me by my grandfather when I was a baby. He said that I looked at everyone as if I were sizing them up, or 'Judging' them. So, he called me The Judge up until he passed away when I was 5. It isn't a nickname that I use in r/l anymore, but I thought it was a nice tribute to that nickname that he had given me years back to use it in such a great community.

so many people ask me that lol my answer is i have no clue exept the last part is based on being suicidal at css at times and the middle means red head idk bout the start its just there lol partly based on my name being callum just shortened to cal added an a then the last parts lol

all in all i have no clue how i got it it was just an experiment gone wrong which fixed itself over time and still needs fixing...

I got mines becuase all the guys at my pro-serve class would tell me i blink too much when at the parde rest (same with my sargent at the marine office) and give me this name Blinky which now everyoen seem to call me and i like it

hmm well lets see here, I needed a name for starcraft back when it came out so I came up with soul of a sinner, but I decided it was a bid bland so I revised it to Soul of a Sinner, still to boring for my tastes I revised it a second time and made it Soul_of_a_Sinner, and thus my full name was born and have used it ever since. Of course in different variations as well SOAS, Soul, Sinner, something weird for xbox (cant remember) etc.

I did however use Who's Your Daddy for TFC back in the day (before hats and bad TF2 gameplay)
