Where did your name come from?

My name Swamp Fox comes from the South Carolina American Revolutionary War hero Francis Marion. It was his nickname because he used the Carolina swamps around Charleston, SC to hunt and kill British officers and highly ranked officials. I have a very high level of state pride so I found this nickname fitting to represent this.

I guess it all started back when I first decided to play C:SS. The very second I did, I joined a clan my other friend ran. He said that we needed something random, and then a military rank. I just chose Janitor, and chose GnrSgt as a rank.

Well, I'm in sound crew at my high school, And everyone gets nicknames in sound crew, so My crew chief looks at me and says Cheesecake! I just liked how it sounded so it's now my name!

well my name is kinda a long story. i used sarge from RvB and then saw people online using cool characters like * and i wanted a new name so i changed it to *le&bian* (i know real immature). after that i played americas army and was invited to join a clan called NuTs?. However they told me i had change my name to something that would make sense so i named myself *faux*NuTs?. faux means fake in french.. (i think) and it fit me perfectly since i do have faux nuts. but that is another story in itself so YAY!!!

Ok, time to nerd out here...
In 1999 I needed a name for a hobbit character on my MUD of choice, Return of the Shadow. I of course went to the ultimate source, Helge Fauskanger's Ardalambian. By far one of the treasures of the internet. All of the good names in Westron were already taken (e.g. Razar (the native name of Pippin)). So I made a generic play on John Doe by choosing Nosh (derived from Nas meaning 'people or family' and the Shire). I was just a person of the shire.
When i went to college in 2000 and started playing Counter-Strike, I carried the name over because it was the shortest and easiest to pronounce.
Not going to live this one down am I...

I was playing a game called Combat Arms like 3 years ago and my best friend's IGN was SeoulxP (Seoul is a capital city in South Korea, he's also Korean if you weren't able to tell) and so I was going to make it KoreaxD but then it looked liked it was a one word so I put underscore between so it become Korea_xD
And my other nickname Kor3AxD was generated after Korea_xD just because some games doesn't allow you to use a symbol, so I decided to use the "l33t talk" and use 3 instead of "e" and made "a" captialized so that "xD" doesn't look like its part of "Korea"
(I also have a nickname called "Astolated" which has no meaning at all, it was one of the idea that my friend gave me when I was creating a account)

My name simply came from my name (Xavier) and and first letter of my last name (B), how creative am I -.-. Sometimes my name can be Xavs44 or Xavier44 and the 44 originated from when my father used to play professional Australian rules football, his number was 44. =D.

i made my name up a long time ago when i was playing 343 quilty spark from halo 1 on legendary and i got so lost in the underground base that im pretty sure i got into rooms that were not supposed to excist so i was sitting there one time trying to find my way out and thought to my self "this is BAD MAN this is BAD" and suddenly the thought to change my name into an original name was born and that name was BADMANBAD

My first name is "Mitch" and let's just say that I'm a straight-up "Monsta".
I got the name sil3nt_gh0st because in person I'm quiet and I'm as white as a ghost. Therefore sil3nt_gh0st.
But since I joined edge gamers, I was forced to change my name and so I added an er. ( this does not mean I ghost in cs, I'm just a good player that is able to shoot through boxes and walls.)
