Should the Thread of the Month be expanded to include all public threads?

Should the scope of the Thread of the Month be expanded to include all public threads regardless when they were originated?
(Current policy is for the threads to be started in the month of the current newsletter)

So for the any thread option, I'm guessing you mean if someone started a thread back in January, and then in May, someone then decided to nominate it for Thread of the Month of May? I would say the threads should be nominated in the same month, or within a month, of when it was posted.
