Should we reset all eGO Player Statistics (HLStats)?

not for tf2!!!! i know ppl who care about their stats. and the hlstats is not easy because of the tf2 point system. i here people still today saying they will forever be angry at eGO because of the last "reset". i know it wasnt a reset but we moved to our own eGO hlx, so the stats did "reset".
also all the daily rewards will be gone and the REALLY good players that are near the top that cant play as much anymore can be remembered by those. PLEASE DO NOT RESET TF2.

if you dont care about stats then obviously you would like a reset, but you need a legitimate reason.

I think no. I like to be able to look back on when I was first playing tf2 and see how much better I have gotten, and a stat reset would kill that.

Reset or Retire!

Absolutely reset! For the last 5 years that I have played DOD:S, and I will only speak of DOD:S, all the best clans I play with or have played with since joining eGO reset at least once a year. It always sparks renewed interest because everyone has a fair shot at the rankings again. I have been ranked at one time or another no.1 in three clans including eGO and ranked no. 1 in the Global rankings. It is idiotic for me or anyone else to not want a reset on a regular basis. That always brings more people back to the game. You look at our DOD:S top 50 and a majority of these people sit on their stats. They never play more than a few minutes at a time or they camp the whole time. Some of these people have been caught cheating to hold their positions. Reset and you devalue the need to cheat. Reset and players will jump in like crazy to get more points. Reset and they will come!

I say no. I agree with opscomm's statement with looking back on my score from the past. Makes me feel good at our I never improved, so I like to see how I can never get good.

you're missing the point of a stat's system.

Having Stats is to gauge who has the most points in a specific time period. That means the Top players should be fluctuating from time to time.

If the top players can't play as much and are still the "top Players" we already know something's wrong and is more of a reason for it to be reset.

Stats is not a way to "remember" where you stood at a certain time period. That's what screenshots are for.

To give the folks who say "its not fair to those who have worked hard to get where they are" a different perspective. Lets consider the new pub players joining, is it unfair to them that they don't have a chance to get a high ranking because they haven't been here from the start?

I think there should be an command to reset your own points whenever you wish and when a player is banned their points also get reset if the ban length is a week or more.

Yes, this is a great idea. This should always be done at regular (if extended intervals). Keeps things exciting and people wanting to play. Also helps alleviate the annoying complaints of people wondering why that banned hacker is still #1 or wherever on the list.

This. Keeps things fresh and gives players who have just started on the servers a chance to get their name out there.
