This thread is for YOU! Too say a bit about yourself.

Why is this thread here? : I am making this thread for us and myself, too learn a bit about or divisional members!

Good Stuff to post:
-How did you find Edge Gamers?

- What do you like too do outside of gaming?

- What do you enjoy about eGO?

Bad stuff to post :

-Highly personal information

- Trash talk

Well, too clear things up, ill start:D

Well my name is Brandon (obviously) and i live in Florida.I am 14 years old,and enjoy playing Team Fortress, and meeting new people. outside of Gaming, i am a highly competitive Airsoft player and is on a sponsored team that plays around the area. I was recruited into eGO on July 27th 2011 by the help of Louie VI and retroG . Upon joining i was very shy at first too join Ventrillo rooms, and too talk alot on the mic just due too me not knowing anybody. It took a good week too meet some new people on the forums and in-game. Once i joined Ventrillo, my eGO life began. I started talking too engineer,VP,and a few others i cant name off the top of my head and they made me feel welcome. After i started playing in some more servers and got connected too events...thats when i met Noise....shortly after i was greeted by his wonderful choice of music, and really started meeting some leadership (there not so scary afterall) and shortly after being active on forums, Ventrillo, and the servers/events.I was promoted too eG.

Thats really it!...now whats your story???

Oh one more thing i left out...

This guy here is uhh, VP~77 (just for you Noise) and I'm 13 years old. I enjoy gaming a lot with eGO and have great grades in school. I began gaming when I was 8 years old with an old game called Timesplitters 2. It was a great game. A year later I played my first PC game, Halo: Combat Evolved and rocked everybody on it. I was great and I did amazing. My knowledge farther increased because of the internet, my typing became much faster after a year of Halo: CE and I had great hand-eye coordination. I got my first Steam game in 2009 which was TF2. The first server I found was an eGO server than I enjoyed right off the bat, even though I was bad. I had another friend join with me about 3 months later and if I'm not mistaken, I was recruited by spidEY/Idol possibly. (If any of you guys remember HaloHalo, maybe you can find out? :x) I just recently became active again in the eGO community about 7 months ago with a new gaming PC. And so here I am now, gaming with a bunch of friends that I've come to care about... :)

Im Ken (aka Rogue) im 22, started playing eGO in the DOD:S servers cause i bought CS:S and didnt like it at that point but DOD was free with it. Then got in to INS EVE CSS and MC. Starting playing TF2 when it went F2P. Old comp went to #$%# so i cant play but still help eGO out by being in PSC. IRL I'm a comp builder, fix cars, truck driver, basicly jack of all trades, master of none. I also play electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and electric bass(which is where my name came from).

I'm Nik and I joined eGO last September. Outside of gaming I like to take time to learn C++, play guitar/bass, and run. The thing I enjoy the most about eGO is how serious people can get, which gets me laughing.

Also, I bought a chair.

Names Frisky Dingo, I played around when I first got the game. Visited a couple servers and joined a couple clans and it wasnt till i came across an eGO server that I actually liked it. I visited the eGO website and posted my very fist vid and had a few comments about it. Met quite a few old old members who are not here anymore and decided to join. Joined 11/28/08, got to know Mister Adam who was a blast to play with, wonder where he is hiding now. Got to know Spidey, Kevimaster, Kunai, 50centricher, pepper rabbit, Marine4God, McP, Dave the Great, Thereven and a bunch of other guys that really made me feel at home here. <3 the servers and <3 the great bunch of other great guys that make this place what it is. Keep up the great work guys.

I'm Angstrom. I did some strange maneuvers to obtain the game back when it was 20 bucks. I was Sonata Arctica back then, hence why people still call me Sonata or Santa if they get the chance to. Played sniper for the first 100 hours. It was easy to snipe on egypt, eGO had an egypt server (Still does) and bam! there was I. Of course, after a while I joined blackmesa and never left.
Outside of TF2, I'm just a cool argentinian waiting to be sucked by university. I love my physics and astronomy.

I'm Dave. I joined eGO after getting un-banned (that is another story). Played with loads of cool people still here and long gone in eGO, which makes it easier to stick around. I have game ADD so I come and go with games. I don't play as much on the TF2 eGO servers as I should, and I'm working on that. Once BF3 and TOR come out, TF2 will be pushed to the side for awhile.

Outside of gaming I work in the Oil and Gas Industry here in Oklahoma. I just left the Liquor business that I was in for about 6 years. I have never felt better and I'm a hell of a lot happier.

My ATM pin number is 12345

People I could beat up in real life in eGO:

VP
Noise
Beta
Idol
Darth
Dayman
Death
Whisker
Kevimaster (and all TF2 leadership really)
Cakeman (only so I could eat him)
Ladyface (I never hit women, so this would be a verbal fight, which I would win)
Anyone who has ponies in or around there sig/computer/house (especially Carmine and Mcore)
All of the CSS Division (except Cryptex)
Frisky (for being a spy)
Thereven (for rage quitting a game completely)

Lastly, I feel that everyone thinks I'm a troll. I don't see myself as a troll, I think I'm more like a tall person who like to find the funny in everything. If that is seen as a troll around here than I'll fight you.

EDIT: Zero did not make my list of people I would fight because I already beat him up in MS Paint.

If you don't see your name on the list, don't worry, it is written in pencil.

How did you find Edge Gamers?

Played on a lot of TF2 servers not long after TF2 was released. I really enjoyed the eGO servers, we had (and still do, though not as active) some great guys like Thereven, Frisky and others that kept the game challenging but fun. I played a lot on the Warpath server and other great ones from days long past.

What do you like to do outside of gaming?

I'm a full-time college student and I own my own business (graphic design). So when I'm not gaming with eGO I'm studying, working, and spending time with my beautiful better half.

What do you enjoy about eGO?

I enjoy when people work as a team to accomplish goals. I love the fun-loving attitude of many of our players, and TF2 really fosters that environment.

Also, I hate all things My Little Pony, but I don't hate the people that like it, except for the really annoying ones.

I don't honestly know I got into eGO.

I didn't know there was anything outside of TF2.

Hey...where...where am I?

Hi! My name's Natasha, I'm currently 18 years old (well, some ways I'm only 4, and that's not a joke, but that's another story :D), and I haven't had a drink in 6 months.... Um, I mean I joined Ego around 6 months ago (around the start of May I believe), and I've been loving it ever since. I'm Irish. Thought I should get that out of the way. Yes, I am poor, and do not own a hat (save an animal-head woolen hat)

Due to being a massive nerd, and several physical reasons leaving me isolated (which is the reason I never use voicechat), I've been a video game fanatic since I was 6. The first game I remember playing is Super Mario 2, my favourite stand-alone game is Final Fantasy VIII (not 7, 8!), and my favourite game series of all time is Metal Gear Solid.

I bought TF2 when I was bored of roleplaying in Warcraft, and started spying (currently have 130 hours on spy. My next longest is Engineer with 20 hours.....), mostly on Saigns servers which have "pay to win", and I'm currently amazed at how much I accepted failure being my fault when it was really the unfairness of the system, but I digress. One day I randomly joined Blackmesa, met a few very nice people there (Jubei, Buga, Napkin, Thereven, and even Dizco before he was an e let alone an Ego :P) and, after a month of pestering Jubei with questions, joined Ego and haven't looked back since.

EDIT: The thing I love about eGO is the idea that it's a community, it's very open (despite what certain Steam groups have to say about that xD) and that everyone is given equal say and opportunities. And, also, because of your backs, it's soooooo soft, it's like I never have to resharpen my knife again <3

So, wall of text over, you know my story..... Or do you? *Shifts from a female Medic to a spy with a grin on her face and stalks off, cloaking in a fine mist*

Aw, you didn't put me on that list. You're so nice.
No, that sig does not contain ponies. Learn about LFG before making assumptions.

Alright. I'm Ranthus. I'm 14, a sophomore in high school, and I've been in this clan for longer than most people I see in it today. I joined under the name Kude, but it turns out nobody knows how to pronounce that, so a couple months in I changed it to Ranthus. I joined eGO the day after I started playing TF2, which I got on PC because of the recently released Medic update.

I found eGO when a friend of mine who had the game was playing on random servers and I joined him and it turned out I really liked the rules on that server. That was our old Payload server. Back when it was really active. Ha, yeah, it used to be active. Anyway, after over 2 years of frequenting Black Mesa and 2Fort, I was promoted to eG, and just a couple months later eGO.

In TF2, I'm a medic. I shoot people with my Blutsauger and stab them with my Ubersaw often. Don't like that? Deal with it. I'll heal you in a moment.

For books/television/other media, I really like Stargate, Warhammer 40,000, Fringe, and the Chronicles of Amber. I play lots of videogames, and playing video games has been mostly how I've lived for 10 years. I began when I was 4 (probably earlier actually) with an N64 (SSB, SM64, OoT, Majora's Mask), a Sega Genesis (Sonic 2, Sonic & Knuckles, Zombies Ate my Neighbors, Earthworm Jim), and a Playstation (FF7). I converted to mostly PC gaming in 2008, when I got TF2. Arguably I converted in 2007, when I got Counter-Strike and Diablo 2, but that's debatable.
Despite my conversion to mostly PC games, my favorite game series (Castlevania and Metal Gear Solid) are console games.

Recently (On 9/10, to be very precise) I have joined the bronies, but I'm not so "hardcore" as to put ponies in anything other than my daily internet routine, my CSS Jail spray, and my words on the internet.

My two brothers are in the clan, they're Demonio Penguino and Rayle. Demonio's also a brony, he frequents 2Fort IR. Somebody in the clan got him to join 2 months ago. Rayle frequents Black Mesa, like me. Rayle really only plays whenever new weapons come out, mainly because he's a completionist who needs to own every weapon in the game.
Yes, I've technically recruited both of them without them mentioning me, but I don't care. I'm modest like that.

Computer Science is by far my favorite class I've ever had in school. I LOVES ME SOME PROGRAMMING. Too bad we're programming in the dead language that is PASCAL...

Also, Black Mesa. If you're playing TF2, why aren't you playing Black Mesa?

[Edit]
Oh, and music. I love music. Good music though, not what's mostly popular today. I noticed that soundtracks are often really good, and OC Remix usually has epic remixes of game soundtracks. So I have tons of Castlevania music, Stargate music, classical music, Half-Life music, Final Fantasy music, Black Sabbath music, and various others from various other sources.
The only instrument I play is the trombone though. I used to play the piano, I still can (not as well as I could before, probably) but I don't exactly have the ability to put that to the test. My piano's kind of buried under random stuff in the garage and has fallen into disrepair.

Did I mention that I type a lot in good grammar and have trouble summarizing?

-How did you find Edge Gamers?
I started college in 2008 and I could barely play tf2 at all. I could play 2fort and somewhat Blackmesa on the thing. Found the eGO 2fort server and was the only server I played on. Eventually moved to the Blackmesa server and enjoyed it ever since. I was asked to join in February 2009 by TheRealMcCoy to join so I did. Since then I have met a lot of cool people in eGO, won't name names since I know I will forget someone.

- What do you like too do outside of gaming?
I like to go to bowling whenever I can. I also go to college still and getting my degree.

- What do you enjoy about eGO?
I enjoy the no bs that goes on here. Everyone is cool about each other and has a relatively competitive environment which I like.

Hey, I'm Kazoo. I'm a 19 year old female college student who lives in Texas. I bought TF2 back in May 2010, though that was not the first time I played the game. The first time I played was on a school-owned Steam account back in my Junior year of collegiate high school. (Who would've thought that school would introduce me to VALVe games?)

Anyway, for those questions:
- How did you find Edge Gamers?
I can't remember exactly how I found the server, but sometime this summer I played on the eGO Valve Maps server. I kept coming back, cause it was so much fun. Then, in August, I saw Dalsia was asking if anyone was interested in joining eGO. Usually, I ignored that, but I was having so much fun in the eGO server, that I decided to join. I've been a member since mid-August.

- What do you like to do outside of gaming?
I'm usually busy with school work. But I do like to watch anime, read manga, and work out at the school's gym. I also like to hang out with my sisters and friends. Oh, and I also love to play with my kitten, Attila.

- What do you enjoy about eGO?
The people are awesome. I also love the servers. I can play without having to deal with rude remarks I sometimes receive in non-eGO servers. Also, the events! I've only been to a few, but they're so much fun! :D

Also, I'd like to mention that due to college, I haven't been able to get on much. However, when I am on, you can find me on Valve Maps and sometimes on Black Mesa. I can be found playing with Meep (my best friend) and/or Aki (my sister). I'm kinda mic-shy, so I'm usually using text chat rather than voice chat. But you'll occasionally hear me cry out "Spy!" or other warnings. I'm gonna try and overcome this mic-shyness though. I'd really love to get on Ventrilo and talk with everyone. :)

Meet the Caelestis

Mm, tasty copypasta...

Caelestis. Ki-LES-tis. Adj Heavenly; divine; god-like.

In high school, one of my friends convinced me to join the computer club. Until that time, I'd been convinced that the club was merely a refuge of those who conversed with one another in Javascript, but I was soon proven wrong. For hours after school, the club reveled in playing dated computer games, the most intense of which was Quake II.

Oh, how atrocious I was at Quake II! When I learned to hop and shoot at the same time in pitched battle, it was considered a milestone for me. It took months for me to understand strafing. All the while, my more experienced friends delighted in nailing me to a wall from a light-year away with a Railgun blast.

This experience very soon repeated itself in college, where I started off as the bully target in Super Smash Bros. Melee. I was new to this game as well, and I was often the first to be destroyed mercilessly. Recalling my Quake II days, I was provoked to match skills with my friends. My inner academic drove me to study carefully the wisdom of tournament professionals and watch the patterns of experts. Within one semester, I'd gone from a complete novice to a finalist in the college's SSBM tourney. I devastated my opponent so utterly in the finals that my performance was hailed as "god-like".

In June 2010, the friend who had introduced me to the high school computer club told me about the parallels of Quake II and Team Fortress 2. I jumped into the game, eager to have vengeance after all those Railgun deaths. I took to the game more readily than Quake II, eventually stumbling onto a strange map that I had not seen anywhere else: "Black Mesa". I dimly knew that had to do with Half Life, though I didn't (and still don't) know much about that game. Intrigued, I went thither and was astounded by the layout. Casting all else to the four winds, I started playing there regularly, getting acquainted with other regulars: DiZCo, Noise, Frisky Dingo, PepperRabbit, and so many more. Throughout the summer, I became comfortable with these people who were so welcoming to me and started joining in their banter over time. I had no job at the time, so I logged a lot of hours in Black Mesa getting killed. It was there, though, that I really started to hone some sense of skill, and I owe that to the terrific quality of the other players' skill as well.

Black Mesa became my home away from home when school started again. My first semester in law school was a lot like riding a bicycle down the steepest incline you can imagine, with no brakes. The only thing that saved my sanity was regularly stopping by Black Mesa. As I made friends, it was a relief to have some place of respite from the theory of restitution or the concerns of remand and removal between state and federal courts. I had occasionally seen people inquire about prospective EdgeGamers Organization recruits, but I was actually put off by the idea of wearing the tag. It wasn't until some time in January of this year that Wilson cajoled me into getting over that and I donned the =(e)= for the first time. Since then, I was promoted to G (an event that still haunts me thanks to Darth), then O (far less traumatic), and then permitted to step up to join the ECs (almost as bad as my G promotion). :P

I graduated from college with two degrees, one of which was a BA in Classical Studies. While I'm of the opinion that everyone should learn a little Latin, I acknowledge not everyone shall do so. My name was so hilariously mispronounced in an eGO podcast that, after I stopped snickering, I decided I ought to rectify the chronic mispronunciation. Of course, it goes on, most notoriously with the abbreviated Cael being pronounced like the vegetable kale, but I take it in stride.

It sure beats how they used to pronounce my name: Cialis.

@^

Well, at least now I FINALLY know how to pronounce your name :P
