Vent client issue

It just started today without any updates having been installed. I can't talk anymore and when I press the Setup button in Vent, it just locks up. It even locks up when I hold the left CTRL key down and press Setup

I have removed, deleted all directories and registry settings and still have the same issue.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm sure it has to do w/ audio drivers but I haven't updated them nor are there any updates available.

Have you updated to the newest version of Ventrilo or uninstalled/reinstalled it? Updates can be downloaded from the site, and usually clean install themselves, so I recommend trying that first.

sounds like you have tried an uninstall/reinstall. I would try to redownload the exe possibly from a different location and install to a different location on the HDD.

Done the uninstall/reinstall and get newest version thing. I might try the different directory routine when I get a sec, but that would be a wierd fix.

Vent does work correctly however, but occasionally, I loose mic ability and have to shut it down and restart it.

I'm sure it's some conflict with my sound card or headset. It may have actually started last time I updated some drivers. Who knows.
