EVENT IDEA
First of all, I had this event idea and I wanna know what you guys thought about it. Pretty much we combine DoD:S and UFC Fight Nights. Weapon classes = weight classes, so you can have defending title holders in different classes and work your way up to fight for the title. Every person's fighting style is different, so each 1-v-1 battle would be unique. How it could be done:
Three 3-minute rounds. First round one guy is (randomly chosen) selected class. Other guy rotates through each other class in order upon each death. Go with a small-ish map (arena) so they can't hide from each other and no spawn-camping allowed. They flip roles for the next round. If one person dominates the other, that's the same as a Knockout. Otherwise the match goes to "judge's decision" (which could just be overall K
scores).
We have so many characters that each night we could easily fit 4-5 "fights" into a one-hour event, or if we had enough people to admin it we could stretch it into a 2-3 hour event, people could come and go, and we could get like 15 "fights" (30 people) each week. This also leads to the possibility of bringing back old members who left eGO or went to other divisions, if they have a chance to actually prove they are the best ______.
FOOTBALL GAME
For those of you who had been reading my updates about the football team I coach, I haven't written anything for about a month. We had our first home game two weeks ago where I almost got stabbed. I was gonna share that story, but I would have to censor it a ton. I'll still do it if you guys are curious enough though, lol.
Anyways last night was our final game for the Championship. The other team (the defending champions) went up 20-0 right away in the first quarter. Everybody was freaking out wondering what was wrong with our team. After all, our defense gives up an average of just 18 points a game total. What they didn't know was that our headsets weren't working for ??? reason, so I couldn't communicate ANYTHING down to the field for our defense and neither could the offensive coaches to the offensive coaches on the field. Pretty much we were playing in the dark and freaking out.
The headsets randomly started working a few minutes into the second quarter. I was then able to scramble and tell the defense what all was going on and what adjustments we needed to make. To make a long story short, we got six turnovers, started kicking major butt not giving up anything, and won the game, 34-27.
I NEED HELP
This is going to sound completely ridiculous...but it's legit... Every year my family and friends ask what I want for Christmas. Why they don't just get me something and surprise me, I don't know, but I SUCK at figuring out what I want. I just can't do it. I am seriously incapable of coming up with something and saying, "Oh I would like this" for whatever reason. I am almost as bad thinking up things to get other people.
This year they all got together (it's a conspiracy) and set it straight with me--either I come up with stuff I want, or I am getting nothing. No money or gift cards or gifts from their own ideas. So far my list looks like this:
