The ip to eGOs minecraft server is mine.edge-gamers.com. If you want to join you must have 1.8.1 unless it's updated by now. hope this helps

It is not updated. There is a post about it on the frontpage...

After 30 months since its initial alpha release, Minecraft has changed significantly due to the constant development by Mojang and now has a community of more than 16 million users. This weekend at Mojang's second MineCon, Notch and the Mojang team released the completed build of Minecraft, version 1.0.0.

Also released this weekend was Minecraft Pocket Edition (iOS) which can be picked up for $6.99 on the Apple App Store.


The server will not be updated to the current version of Minecraft (1.0.0) until Bukkit is updated to a stable build. If you would like to continue to play on the eGO Minecraft server, do not update your client to the latest version of the game. Once the server is updated, you should expect to see a map reset.
