So, here?s what I?m seeing.

We?ve made progress that most of you appreciate and the fixes we are making are welcome. That being said, there are still some issues that you?ve been asking about that weren?t included in this patch. These include, but are not limited to:

In-game VOIP
Various nerfs including Taclight
changes to chat window (size, positioning)
Additional changes to squad interface, including the ability to make squads
Beep beeps (Which will be implemented, just not in this patch)
Squad and in-game interface changes (mostly revolving around the proposed fan-designed interface)
EDIT: TV Missles ? definitely known (can?t believe i left it off)
EDIT: Spectator/Battlerecorder - Another very popular request. (I can?t believe I left it off! I?d like this too)
Please know that these are definitely on our radar as top issues for community requests.

Some of the issues addressed in this patch were brought to our attention by you guys, including the ?negative acceleration? issue. We?re committed to continuing to act on your feedback!

Not all of the issues we?ve solved are as impactful or sexy as some of you were hoping for, but I hope everyone appreciates how hard the DICE team has been working.

Keep in mind that we?re still awaiting a patch for consoles which will most likely include similar balancing tweaks, but obviously other fixes specific to console issues.

What other issues would you like DICE to look into for a second patch? Let us know in the comments below!

===============
for some reason this patch sounds way better than the the patch we just had.

I just want to be able to play the game for more than 10-30 seconds. They should roll back the patch until they get this new one up.

Works fine for me, also "Beep beeps"? Anyone know?

Well, there are two answers to your question.

1. "Beep Beep" Could mean they are implementing Roadrunner into BF3.

2. "Beep Beep" Could mean they are adding car horns.

I like the first option myself.

The only thing I want is for them to fix the Javelins. If not, I am hoping for a return of the AT4.

Javelins way to balance it: Aiming time increased by 3-5 secs w/o SOFLAM, With the SOFLAM is the current time w/o it.
Fixes: DMG = 55% each shot making it a 2 shot tank kill and 1 shot Buggy/Growler. Accuracy; it needs a fix when using SOFLAM. And the range should be the same as the SOFLAM.

What you guys think?

Nerf IRVN.. why? it doesn't even let you see through walls or smoke. haha. Anywho it makes no difference to people who know how to play.

Half the people i kill arn't even from IRVN xD

If people are sad faced about IRVN.... Why are people not sad faced about vehicle thermal'd vision? That thing makes it obvious where people are.

EDIT: Also correct me if i'm wrong but i am pretty sure that the zoom in time for the IRVN is longer compared to the zoom in time for the Kobra/Holographic sights.

Another thing if you guys already haven't noticed.... IRVN sways like a sniper scope. lol...

Battle recorder. 'nuff said. Also means we'll have a lot more work on our hands Music.

I told you guys they would announce another patch immediately. For those of you who can't play, I'm sure you're upset, and I'm somewhat bothered by the AA buff, but the fact is EA is doing everything they can to make the game fun. Just because you ask for one thing doesn't mean someone else isn't asking for another, and we should all have been taught by Valve that no patch fixes everything or doesn't break another. Still, I'm anxiously awaiting this upcoming patch!

oh dear god please fix the TV guided and AGM missiles for Choppers and Jets.

TV missiles are really annoying when you direct impact another chopper or jet and nothing happens to them and then you get deflected into the ground. Same with hitting a tank for no hit markers and then missing it by 20 feet and getting a double kill by blowing it up.

AGMs are basically worthless in their current state compared to rocket pods or even a MG from a plane...

Javelins should be 1 hit kill from the top to a tank if they have someone using soflam. Without explosive upgrades you only get 2 rockets. Using soflam means you are using two people to take out a tank instead of one, so the damage should reflect that.

Speaking of soflam, if a target is painted, how do I miss 90% of the shots? That is really frustrating when the target is painted the entire time and 3 javes miss in a row

They also need to fix the planes crashing into helis and not dying, but causing suicide and teamkills for the chopper.

/off my soapbox

i am of the popular opinion that the tact light nerf should have been implemented at week 2-3 after launch but its nice to see something being done before karkand releases next month :)

IRVN Fix isn't about the scope.
Apparently you can scope in right before getting into a vehicle and your view is in INVR mode making it easier to see enemies while flying around. There is a video of this on [ame="http://youtu.be/A6aTdbiXfq4"]YouTube[/ame].

I believe this is the fix they are talking about.

Im of the camp, that the irnv needs some serious downgrades, often I go in servers and >75% has em on.... (at least the ppl that kill me, though sometimes, everyone will kill me, sooooo)

And its fairly easy to see why

In a game with so much detail thrown into it, the irnv is built like it has no environment around it. If you go to C on Caspian conquest, and look east to D, the sun will blur out EVERYTHING... quite honestly, as it should. When I look into the sun (which is alot btw) its hard to see the things around it, so...makes sense. But when I put on this scope, that is nightvision....nightvision is super sensitive to light....so you can see at night...and look into the sun...its just a beautiful green day where my enemies are highlighted in red, orange, and yellow. Or if I fire the weapon and the ignited powder comes out the end, will it blind me? (which is the point of flash suppressors. Would be cool if this were a game mechanic and IRNV need a flash suppressor to be useful). Or if I look down this extremely bright hallway, or into an enemies flashlight? Hrmm? No? No I suppose it doesn't

Light has no consequence to this scope, and quite therefore, no downside.

Well, you're saying, "Calais, well, the name of the scope is IRNV, the IR part means infrared".

To which argument you haven't made, but as I will, have wished into being, a strawman for me to attack for your entertainment (ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED). I would reply "Well, then wouldn't it make sense that all the hot stuff shows up on it"?

Like...your own weapon perhaps?
or smoke stacks?
or maybe, the contrails of jets?
or hot ashphault, baking in the mid-day sun
or even the heated air, rising from explosions?
And seeing how that people and...unoccupied vehicles burn up like the freaking sun
Shouldn't desert levels, be ummm....all red? On an IRNV scope?
humans are 98 degrees...deserts tend to be hotter.

Anyway

Personally I think DICE should focus on actually making the game stable, as opposed to trying to balance it. Since there are a very large number of players having serious stability issues even with decent rigs.
