dod_strand?

whenever i try to log into the strand map, i get the message :

Couldn't CRC map maps/dods_strand.bsp, disconnecting

what should i do?

Sorry stewie...I can't seem to find a definite answer to your problem. Most places say to delete the map from your maps folder and then try re-downloading it from the server. But this doesn't seem to work for everyone.

First of all, try doing what Meg suggested, then I would suggest Right clicking on Day Of Defeat:Source in your Steam library, press properties, go to the "Local Files" tab, and press "Verify Integrity Of Game Cache"

There are several fixes in the link i am about to provide, your not the only one who has had this problem. I myself have not been able to connect once or twice and for me it was my directX level, try these options and if it doesn't work let me know and i will see what i can do to help.

ok, i got the map from gamebanana. do i extract it, or do i simply move it into the folder?

delete the other dod_strand and then extract the new one and place it in your maps folder if this is the way you want to go.
