Famas just seems to really good. I was dropping people with easy. In close combat, I got out of some fights that I probably wouldn't have made out with most of the other guns. It has a decent reload time. The recoil isn't bad at all either. In close combat, I barely bothered zooming in - all I did was spray and people died left and right.
I ended up playing offensive a lot. Even thought it was my first time using it and I was using default setup for a while....I felt very very comfy with this gun.

In other news anyone tried SOFLAM plus Javelin combo? It's hilarious. So today two of us were using this setup - me being the recon and my mate was engie. We were in one of the B2K maps...Oman I believe. I manually controlled Soflam, clued my engie what I was targeting, and once it was done, he shot Javelin, and in a bit he gets the kill. I ended up locking on a lot of air vehicles (mostly jets and sometimes chopper)...and the funny thing is they all died (99% of the time). It wasn't vehicle disable or anything....just good old fashioned death.
We started with two people (engie and recon obviously) and once in a while asked some random support dude in our squad for ammo. He realized what we were doing, so later he ended up dropping ammo w/o us having to ask for one. I also remember at some point, one of my unknown engie squadmate ended up joining us (this happened around the end of the round). As I locked in, sometimes I saw two Javlins being shot at one target  Also sometime before that, my engie mate said there were additional 2 Soflams next to mine. Apparently, some friendly snipers decided to join the fun (they were unmanned so weren't that useful though). Anyway, as the map progressed, it seemed like a lot of enemies were annoyed by our teamwork.
Enemy snipers were taking shots at my soflam so many times. I was remote controlling it from safety and since we had ammo supply, it didn't matter much. In reality, they were only able to destroy it with sniper rifle once or twice. Once the jet came really low to take down my soflam...he succeeded. I put it right back up and we made sure he never got that close. Once I locked on an enemy jeep that was trying to sneak on us...he tried to run away instantly once he reaized we had spotted him. Unfortunately for him, the Javelin followed to his death. I lol'ed in real life.
By the time round had ended, so many enemies had complained via text chat. One of them thought my mate was stinger hacking  Someone else said something like "Javelin tracking laser target makes sense.....yeah right".
It was lot of fun watching those jets fire flare when I locked onto them. It was also lot of fun watching enemy crafts blow up in the air a lot. And also fun to watch enemy attack chopper hide behind the building the moment I locked on him. My only complain is, I (recon) ended up having 1/4 - 1/5 of my engie's score. I was doing all the work :O

So yeah try them both before all the QQ'ing makes DICE nerf them.

All in all, this is a good thing: its nice to see variety in the guns, and not have completely overpowered, overused weapons. I love the Famas though.
