I had problems like that in the BattleField 2 Days. What O.S. are you running? I had Vista back then and it was not gamer friendly at all. Down load the newest Punk Buster software. Check your Firewall settings, besure the program is allowed thru the firewall. Check your U.A.C. " User Account Control's " This sounds like a communication error of some sort. Win 7 32 ultimate

I played a whole 24/7 metro round on our server and when the next round started i got kicked 10 mins in. Haven't been able to play at all since. Talk about random.

Un-installed pb, deleted pb files and manually reinstalled pb 3 times...restarted pc 3 times...even with firewall off this error keeps coming up everytime i enter any server.

I had the same. Issue. But deleting my pb folder in program files (x86)/origin games/bf3 then reinstalling worked for me

I've tried that first multiple times it didn't work.

What's interesting is that out of no where a ton of people started getting this yesterday while they were playing the game fine. It's all over the BF3 forum.

Are you running Fraps? That's usually a big no no with PB games.

Also disable Origin in-game.

I had the same problem after last patched, I tried almost every fix out there, eventually figured out that reinstalling the game was the only thing that worked.

I managed to joina server and play 9 games straight. Then i got the random timeout DC error...

Tried to join the SAME server again and this time 10 seconds into the game...i get this..

So now i'm randomly getting a DIFFERENT error?

What's the point of PB anyway? Hackers are still hacking like it's nobodys'business.

I've disabled origin in-game since the start of BF3.

twice in a row now. Guess my violation ignoring h4><0rz aren't as good as I though....

Agreed. Plus, it's constantly scanning the HDD in the background 24/7. Invasion of privacy if you ask me. But we as users choose to have this software. It is required to run the game, but we choose to play it regardless.

At least with VAC it doesn't have to constantly run a 3MB process. It hardly works though, which is where server admins come in at.

It's not as bad as back in the 1942 days, but it still sucks.

the reason the server kicks you is because you can't play on pb protected servers if punkbuster is deactivated.. to restart them do either of the following

1)
Go to c:\windows\sysWOW64
find PnkBstrA and B
click and restart battlefield 3

2) click start and run
write services
find pnkbstrA and b and start them

now you should be able to play again

I've tried that and many other solutions out there on the internet.

I'm not the only one with this issue. Alot of people have been getting this issue in the last 3-4 days...hours after B2K launched.

Some have managed to fix the issue but the majority who still have the issue have tried many different fixes and solutions to no avail. It's becoming a popular topic on the battle log forum.

Had no problems until 2-3 days ago... (Had no issue with BF3 or PB since BF3 launched)

Was playing on a metro server(our 24/7 metro server).... round ended then got kicked 2 mins into the new round with this error.

been getting that for the rest of the day....

Tried to manually update pb. Even tried to do a fresh install of pb by deleting all the pb folders in the main bf3 directory and user/appdate directory. restarted pc multiple times.... Disable uPnP, SSDC and windows firewall in SERVICES. Ran everything including PnkBstrA and PnkBstrB in system32 as administrator... Tried a few other possible fixes/solutions but nothing worked.

The next day i decided to give it a go so i joined a karkand server and it didn't kick me for 9 straight games. When the 10th game started i got a timeout dc error(which was normal). So i decided to try and join the SAME server again since i had no pb issues at that moment. 10-15 seconds into the server i get kicked with a totally different error.

I've been getting this error 10-15 seconds into any pb server ever since.


I've put up a ticket on the evenbalance(punkbuster) website 2 days ago.. they still haven't replied to it yet.

It sounds like were running out of options. The best thing to do now is keep browsing around the BF forums until someone finds an actual fix, or wait for an update to either BF3 or Even Balance.

When COD 4 hit Steam, PB would kick for a driver issue code. PB finally responded to the community months later and said it was because of Steam In-Game. They said IW has to fix it or the players are SOL. 2 years later, we're still SOL. It runs fine without in-game but I know a lot of people that use Steam just for that reason.

Managed to play 3 hours on PB enabled servers including our 24/7 metro server and out of no where i start getting

now 10-15secs into any pb server.....i get this error.....................................................................again.

I've been able to play 2-4 hour stretches twice now in 7 days before getting this error every pb server join attempt.

Pretty sure this issue has got nothing to do with my system. Plus PnkBtrA and B have been running while i was able to play and are still running even when this error prevents me from playing.

I had this problem a couple days ago when B2K came out. But it seems the recent patch they did fixed it for me.
