You guys complaining about queues really need to calm down. The servers were most likely all soft capped meaning their maximum populations were reduced during early access to determine how the queueing system would work and if it in fact did work.

Also this is a very hyped up game and a lot of people have been waiting on it. You cant expect Bioware to have no queues with a huge game like this. Yes there will be queues for the first few months until things settle down. Be patient and wait for your turn. Its not like 15 minutes is a terribly long wait. WoW had queue lines back in Vanilla and had queue lines for every expansion for the first few months afterwards until it got resolved.

They will work this out and get the servers squared away. Just be patient and deal with it for now.

The servers are fine Brann. The soft capping and early access was like a larger beta testing to see how the servers would react to a large amount of people. With the soft caps removed the servers should improve.

I really dont see why do many of you are making a huge deal out of this... is this your first mmo ever?

They tested it out during the weekend beta tests.

The fact is, there was alot of people already signed up for guilds on this server, which was open since day one of early release. They didn't all get in on the first day, that number of people was obviously ignored. You can tell the idea of trying to fill the servers up was some pencil pusher in the company and others thought it was a good idea.

Now the problem is, their math is massively off. Blatantly didn't take into account of people signed up for guilds. Ignored the fact that people might not be able to play right away with their friends whom of which already chose a server. Someone who choose a server the first day but hasn't been able to log on much due to work. While making sure the servers were filled up to have people to play with looked good on paper, it was seen on the first day of pre-release, that it was a horrid idea to do it in the manner that they did.

The way to properly go about, is to have taken a save character population count, if they all logged on at the same time and it hit a high server load making it full, then that is when you add a new server. Cause when weekend comes and retail release comes, your going to have more people sign on as well as the weekend warriors.

Its all about looking for the invisible math that you wont know or cant know. In this case they ignored all of the unknown math. Anyone who runs a gaming server would understand this. Sure you can put 10, 30 slot counter strike software servers on a single piece of hardware. But what happens during prime time and some people find the server and like it, they will play in it and help fill it up(unknown factor), as well as someone joining cause of the number it has(Unknown factor), then your friends try to join(known factor) and it crashes the hardware server.

Well, iv made a nother char on a server mostly cause of the queue is getting crazy, ill still play my jedi, but i dont like waiting an hour after i get home from work to play...and the other reason being theirs a few guys i know irl that r on this server

Queues suck, but huge lag spikes that often lead to disconnections that in turn force you back into the queue, only it's now twice as long... that's just mean.

Seriously, this is not a good experience right now.

All today there was no issue logging into the server. Maybe its a good sign of things to come?

ive played many mmorpg's excpet for wow and never had to wait on a que. game has been out for 2 days now and nothing has changed things just got worse. can not even log into forums without que of 30 min to an hour around 8 am. est. in the morning. 1 hour ques on a thursday in the middle of the afternoon 1 pm est. i understand theres alot of fan boys out there that will defend it to the end but everyone knew this game was going to big, if i knew it they deff. did. no excuse for being unprepared. learned that one in the first grade.

the game looks great and no game crashes yet. i pay to play not to wait in a :cursing: line .

All in all though our queue is not that bad considering other servers are having 500-1000 person wait times.
