Amazon Jail-ST Freekill before 3:00

Been playing a lot of jail lately, and Ive seen this and wondered...what happens if you are ST on the Jail map, Amazonian, and get freekilled before 3:00? Does the same rules apply? Since the map starts at 8:00, and you get freekilled before 3:00 which gives you a full 5 min. to do what ever they want. Do you get to be ST next round again?

Its one st per map, I would say no. 5 minutes is a very long st so best just move on and knife cts in the back next round.

Yeah, since the maps have different start times it would make sense to change the freeday revoke time and ST freekill times and whatnot. Make it state something similar to "if you are killed within 2:00 min of the start of the map as ST" or something similar. I'm not sure if the current rule is already supposed to be like that, but you do have a good point considering the start time.

The only reason you should be able to get ST again in the same map is if you got killed so quick it wasnt even special treatment, if you had time to do whatever, then i dont see why you would be able to get ST again. That maps time is different, so just compensate for it like it was any other map

Well, the only map on the server with a different start time is, in fact, amazonian.

Keep in mind that ST is usually a reward for giving up a gun or some other act (although most people just give it to there friends as well) and it almost defeats the purpose of the gametype. This is not to say that ST's shouldn't be given or that there's anything wrong with giving your friends ST, but as long as you have some amount of time to enjoy your free time, it's not that big of a deal if you end up getting killed unless, as Dan said, it's immediately.

Why not? I've proposed for a while that STs be removed all together. It's favourtism at it's worst and does nothing to really improve the overall dynamics of the game. It's just a T running around doing absolutely nothing fun (we've all been the on the maps there is really nothing to do by yourself) and takes away CTs from where they are needed. CTs are generally stupid and freekill STs all the time, remove that and the server becomes calmer.

In addition to what Phase said, people really need to understand that this is jail. You WILL get freekilled, ST or not. In all honesty, STs are pointless because I don't think you really do "that much" after watching the way most people play these days. Freekilling will always happen, as for the ST once per map, do you really need it at all? Just let it go and understand that accidents happen, and try to use common sense. If a guy with a gun is running around and stacks on you, and you both die, don't you think you should have at least tried to move out of the way instead of indirectly helping the rebel?

Well, personally, I wouldn't mind one way or the other, if I'm given ST I'll take it but I don't really ask for it or care if I get it and I won't freak out if I get killed. This wasn't always the case but I've also grown up a bit since I first started playing jail. It is, after all, just a game right?

St's make our jail differ from others. In a sense that we don't allow multiple st's per map. Two, who the hell cares? It is just ST. There are 20 other t's that still have to do the orders and/or rebel. Not a big deal. St's are part of OUR game type, who said we are like any other jail? Our rules are WAY different than any other jail server that I've played on. ST's give a cool factor in the game. All you noob's saying "Ohhhh st's are pointless" you know being a ST is fun I've personally seen all of you ask for and give st's out, soooooooo.

As to your original post Root Beer, in my opinion, the time at which you were freekilled to get ST again should be after 6:00, to be more in line with other maps, however, I would wait for a response from an Advisor. Until then, don't worry about it if you were freekilled after 6:00, as on any other map, you would not be able to get ST again 2 minutes after cells opened.

2 Minutes after the cells are supposed to be opened by. So if it's 3:00 on a map where cells should open by 5:00, make it 5:00 on amazon where cells open at 7(or whatever time they open at).

But seriously, no matter the start time, it's always 2 minutes after cells open. The time is longer because when it runs out, CTs automatically win because of the bomb.
