Supposedly it is coming out with the source update for HL III and CS GO.
Spray also mentioned something about an update with the Dota sequel.

Hi John and yes its suppose to come out. E3 in 2012 is announcing a 3 game made by valve so it could be either DOD 3, Portal 3, TF3, HL 3 and Left4Dead 3. So many possibilities.

Pretty much since CSS:GO came out with the new source engine. Rumors are wild about some of our favorite source games being updated. Like Dutch said, we know one more for sure. Just not which one. I personally think they will all get a update eventually, although I am hoping dod is one of the first, as it could take awhile.

I think the best bet for DoD 3 is going to be after Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS GO) launches. I think we're all hoping to see a new DoD but I have yet to see anything confirming it.

This, right here. I've heard many things about updates, and new games and whatnot. But I haven't seen/read anything that suggests a major overhaul of DoD.

Hey buddy good to see you typing in here. Could you please call coach Garret tell him to quit icing our kicker. That kicker by the way comes from my hometown. Anyhow i would prolly and gladly crap my pants if they came out with a DoD 3. ANy rumor fact or fiction would be greatly appercaited on that.

From what I heard, there was some mention of it in talks about Dota 2. Also, the new engine for Dota hinted at an updated version of the Source engine / possibly built around HL3. Either way, it's an exciting prospect. If you get some time to game again that would be great.

Didn't you guys know?? The update to DoD was the "gift box" thing that has been annoying the hell out of us all... thanks valve, solid work right there!!

lol not that one. The update is coming out either late 2012 or early 2013 since E3 is towards the end of the year.
