Evening, everyone. I just joined up today and wanted to introduce myself.

My name's Matt. I'm 25, married with two beagles that might as well be children the way my wife and I treat them, and one semester away from graduating from law school.

I've been playing DoD since the pre-Source days. I miss the ability to use rifle butts and bayonets in CQB. Prior to joining up here, I was in the 5th Ranger Battalion realism unit, more recently known as the 75th Ranger Regiment. I was Commanding Officer there before leaving to go to law school in '09. At different points, I ran the training program for new recruits, did server management, and coordinated matches and events with other units. It was a lot of work, but I enjoyed doing it.

I decided to join up in part because I miss having a group of more mature folks to talk to and play with and y'all fit the bill. I love how many servers you have in all the different games I tend to play. The people I've seen on the servers have been great, and the servers themselves are well-run. I hope to have plenty of opportunities in the future to contribute to this great community.

Hey Sooner,

Nice to have you in eGO. We have tons of events in the evenings for members and lots of good people to meet.

We do Realism events on Saturdays and we also do a Realism Tourney that in a way blends DoD:S Realism and the game RISK. If you are interested in it, hit me up in vent or shoot me a PM on these forums and I will get you a quick run down of how the Tourney works. There is also a handbook in the stickies above this post.

Best suggestion I can give you is spend some time with us in Ventrilo.
