That server really needs to be a hardcore server, it would attract much more attention as one.

I don't understand the "because that's how the game was meant to be played" argument for normal mode. So the developers want me to shoot a guy five times only for him to walk behind a wall and regenerate health? Or have a floating orange triangle over my head while the enemy team shoots blindly at it? Or fire a rocket at a tank and have it magically repair itself over time? Normal mode is not only less realistic than Hardcore but it is also less balanced. Weapons like the AN-94 and the Semi-automatic Snipers are almost unusably weak where as they have their niche in hardcore game types. Vehicle camera views make flying simple as your fov is vastly increased and C4 attempts are easily countered. Forty percent less health makes a significant difference in game play because you have less time to react before you're dead. In my mind this encourages more tactical play.

lol I say it how it is, speaking of experience and research here![]()
the thing is you dont even have to press q you just ahve to aim twards them and a magical orange triangle shows up, which renders smoke absolutly useless becase players just have to aim in it to see your triangle running threw and spray.
That doesn't spot for teammates. Only you can see the temporary spot.
I am aware of that but it does make a big differance when you have a good spot and are not really visible.
I personally hate playing normal mode. It's a completely different style of play than I enjoy. A BF3 Project reality would be perfect for me.
alas something that will probably never happen seeing how DICE didnt want to release a SDK for fear of bogging down game development
Exactly. So I play hardcore as a compromise. I'm just pointing out that I would prefer it to be even more 'hardcore'. This isn't a bash on the normal mode, just my personal preference.
if DICE would release like some expanded server tools or something where you could have options to enable bleed outs if shot in a vital area or alter weapon accuracy or recoil to force ppl to use semi auto instead of full auto as leaps and bounds better or something would be pretty cool and close to PR
1. Hardcore!
2. Because it doesn't take half a magazine of ammunition to kill someone and there are no floating markers above my head
