Still having problems with internet connection, new ISP is useless cant connect to the web pages and if I do I cant surf. so changing to another one. Could lose connection any day for up to 2 weeks. I will return. I will keep trying until I am cut off.

geez. Is it just your weird experiences or do all ISP's down there suck?

its not the ISP's fault. Since Australia is so large, its expensive to lay any type of line that can provide sufficient speed. DSL has the range but not great bandwidth. Fiber optics and cable have the bandwidth but not the range. Unfortunately theres just not any affordable technology that can cover the range thats needed. He's lucky he has affordable DSL.

maybe when the lightwave technology evolves a bit more. Then again, fiber optics have a lot of room for improvement as well.

Hang in there man, and when you get back fall in love with Donner and forget that silly pub infested Ava.

What about wireless internet? I have Clearwire internet and it is decent for gaming. I get 140-160ping and I live in the middle of the Pacific Ocean; literally in the middle of no where! Of course this internet provider has towers scattered throughout the Island. Maybe there's a similar internet provider there for you in the meantime? Good luck. Hope to shovel you someday in Avalanche. trolololol...
