THATS RIGHT GUCCI'S AND GUCCI-ETES, ITS GO TIME.

For those who have heard in the meeting thats actually going on right now, Blackmesa is in danger of being removed from the server list. This is unacceptable. Blackmesa is currently our lowest ranked server, so you guys need to start worrying about that. You can't continue filling every other server and leave mesa alone with just thinking (its mesa, it won't go away.) Well it is, Unless we do something about it, Mesa will be removed, and we'll be stuck with stupid serious maps, and no one wants that. SO. I'm making everyone who reads this go on blackmesa right now. Like, right now. Stop reading this and go join it. I'll wait.

Done? No your not, you just ignored what I said and just went ahead on reading. If your gonna keep ignoring what I say, your gonna be why Mesa gets removed. We have plenty of great players who play there, if you never did try it out, its a great map with a great community. Go join it now!

Within minutes of mesa possibly closing it was full to the brim. It's obvious people love this server. What we need to do now is fill it and fill it often. We need it full so pubs see it, the more pubs that become regulars the more it stays full. Join the occupy mesa group and join every time we ask, as soon as its full leave. Just make sure not everyone leaves right away. If we can keep this server above 20 players most of the day every day for a week its gonna start to fill itself

Stop saying you love mesa and start showing it, join the server and stay there. Idle if necessary. Just be in it.

they probably said it just to have us fill it. either way, the server needs to be filled.

less valve maps more mesa please.

Steve!!! You guys gotta remember or know that BlackMesa at one point was in the top 100 tf2 servers in the world
 
I'd love to help, but either my computer just can't take it or something's wrong with the map/server. Every time I join, I have FPS drops every few seconds, and it really isn't playable. I'm lucky if I know how I died half the time, let alone have the ability to try and dodge the rocket that I don't know is headed for my face. :(

Gaming says I need to re-install TF2, so if I ever get around to doing that, maybe I will be able to play on mesa again, but for now, I will help with idling when I can.

Sorry I can't be of more help, but college student with 3 year old low-end Mac is having issues playing on mesa. :crying:

I understand you love for Mesa, and that you don't want to see this server leave. However, JohnT was not kidding when he said that ValveMaps was originally on the chopping block as well. So, in your push to save Mesa, do not let ValveMaps, Foundry, and 2Fort (even if 2Fort doesn't really need the help lol) fall to the side. If that servers ratings fall too far because you are pushing Mesa too hard, we may very well lose ValveMaps again.

Just keep that in mind with your OccupyMesa campaign. You cannot forget your other servers. You need to remain active on them as well. They are just as important. We just started to get ValveMaps ratings back up, and we cant let that slip. Its all about balance. We need to work on both servers ratings at the same time. Filling both of them. Its going to take a lot of hard work and dedication, and we need people to take time, and not just work on one server or the other. Personally, I don't like Mesa, but I have been playing there more and more to help the servers rating out once ValveMaps is full. This is what we need to do in order to keep both.

JohnT is not making idle threats here. He is not that type of man. If either servers rating falls, we could lose or or possibly both. Its all about the bottom line at the end of the month. The servers up keep is getting out of hand, and there is just not enough people on the servers to justify this many for each division.

So yes, OccupyMesa, but OccuyTheOtherServers as well. :)

There have been multiple threads about focusing on valve maps, turbine, egypt, and other failing servers, and i've never seen leadership tell them to focus on filling the other servers. I've said many times on those threads that we needed to focus on mesa, but I was just ignored. Its not that we don't care about the other servers, We aren't saying that we are going to never go on the other servers ever again, and i know John isnt making threats, but he's saying that Mesa isn't doing good, and unless something changes, then it will be removed. I don't see valve maps, foundry, or the other servers at risk for failing, which is why we need mesa to be our #1 priority.

Basically I don't want to throw the other servers under the bus, But I'd rather have any other server be on the chopping block than Mesa. I was about to quit eGO when I first played on blackmesa, and I fell in love with it. Its the reason why many Admins and members continue to stay in eGO actually, and we have a very dedicated player base filled with many pubs and many members, and all of them are great. I don't want to see all of them not play tf2 anymore because of mesa being removed. I would rarely play tf2 except when I have events then too probably, So this is why I made this thread. Its about Mesa, not every other server.

That being said, We can focus on the other servers once Mesa is back on its feet.

Maybe 3 minutes? I'm a fast typer. lol. And, no, they dont, gucci. When people start to leave the server, the population tends to die off. I see it happen all the time when people migrate from ValveMaps to Mesa for instance. Imjustsayin.

And all I am saying is that we need to focus on all the servers as a whole, not that we need to ignore any of them. I am saying that in a push to help one, we can't let any of them fall by the way side, or we risk losing another server. That is all I am saying. So please, don't misunderstand what I am trying to say.
