Motherboard help

I need help looking for a motherboard that has 3 pci-e slots, i need this because i currently have 2 6970's and i just bought a 6990 to add to it. Any recommendations will work for me, trying to stay around $200 or less.

for that kind of setup, you are going to need something with an NF200 chip. None of which are under 200.

Unless you wanna run one of the cards through a high-latency 4x slot.

But common, if you can spend over 1000$ on video cards, you can shell out $100 more for an acceptable motherboard.

thanks guys... im impatient and went with the msi p67a-gd80. As far as the 4x vs 8x vs 16x is virtually pointless from everything ive ever read, its merely a matter of 2-10 fps at most

i'd be more worried about the latency.

Since the 4x slot runs off the PCH, it takes ever so slightly longer for the slot to respond, which in a crossfire setup could cause some stuttering.

whatever though.....

after applicable rebates and such, the P8P67 WS Rev would have been pretty close in price

relfex - do you think a 1000watt will work for everything? i have read before where people have used a 1000 and it worked, but is there a accurate site to find out how much power everything will actually use?

I would probably be more comfortable with a 1200 W unit. What 1000 W unit do you have now?

its a cooler master 1000watt silent something or another...lol... if i need more power then ill connect the extra 750watt that i have. I had to do this with my last setup (1055t @4ghz and 3x 6970's) hmmm ... i think i just answered my question lol.. anyway i cant wait to be able to max everything on bf3 across 3 screens i feel like a kid on Christmas eve

probably fine.

Silent Pro are pretty good, and have all the modern protections and stuff.

It would likely turn off before causing damage.

Just make SURE you use this plug on the board, otherwise it is extremely likely that you will melt the 24pin connector:
