Why the hate towards eGo?

I just joined eGo, and every time i join any server in Tf2 (except the eGo ones) everyone mocks at me for being part of eGo.
Got any similar stories?

A lot of people hold a grudge against eGO for being banned from us, those are usually the people who hate on eGO the most. But that's their personal opinion, and I don't talk back to those kinds of people, just let them think what they want.

- They disobeyed the rules and got banned for pushing too hard (bitterness)
- They don't like how such a big organizational type gaming community can do so well (jealousy)
- They hear about how eGO is such a <fill in the blank> from everyone else so they assume it is true (hearsay)

Anyway, I think the best method is just to show that you're the better gamer by example. Also, don't feed the trolls.

Well I only go on 3 different servers, Skial trade servers, Darkly Trade servers and eGO servers, and not once has anyone talked bad about me for having the eGO tag.

I just point and laugh at them as I proceed to dominate them. Plenty of haters around other pub servers but really, it is rare for me to leave eGO servers since they are alot of fun on tf2 so I don't mind.

This. It's the same for css too. Mainly the first reason.

Well, during the halloween event I went to a couple Lotus clan servers (yes yes, I know) to play around on the event maps when I had time, but that was pre-eGO membership.

Like most have said though, it's mainly just that they joined one of our servers and decided "ZOMG! n0 sw3ar!ng !n a M-rat3d gam3!? R0FL!!", and then end up banned and spreading their hate around the web.

99.99999% of all people i run into that dont like eGO just say it, i know this because i ask them questions and have no idea how to answer.
The other .00001% have been banned and when i ask why, they usually say "for <insert insta ban stuff here>".. and i say back, "lol then you broke our rules and you are banned for that reason, sorry "

Honestly, I get a -TON- of hate on my tag in DotA 2. However, it's almost always aimed at CS:S... maybe those guys do things differently than us? haha

there was a video that really frustrated me though. (especially the sarcastic trolling comments and the people who keep feeding them)

what frustrated me even more was that they managed to make the server they hacked turn eGO into a "ban-on-site" clan for them:

c'mon myg0t. what's the point of doing this?

in any case, n00bs101 was kinda being unreasonable for actually believing them despite the massive amount of implied sarcasm and trolling they did.

*just a note: I tend to avoid posting (on) threads like this. It just leads to arguments.

I find the hate on eGO amusing, its like hating a man because he has stuff you dont AND lets you use them for free and whenever you want.

Hmm...

I find that servers run by clans that have similar values and rules to ours...no problem. Other servers are overrun by hackers and punks. Those...problem!
