XAMPP Problem

I installed XAMPP onto my dedicated server so that I could run amxbans. The only problem is I can't connect to localhost when apache is on. Any suggestions?

try 127.0.0.1, if that is working its most likely an issue with your hosts file

The hosts file is located in %SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Make sure the line:

127.0.0.1 localhost loopback

Is in that file

It was commented out....testing to see if it worked.


Edit: NO DICE. I've opened a ticket with my server company to see if they know of anything.

Have you tried connecting to the Apache server through the external IP?

UPDATE: I was able to get apache installed via the msi installer, but when I go to install php, it crashes. Anyone wanna take a look?
