I just installed my new gtx 560 ti and installed the drivers. my screen is shaking and its annoying. does anyone know how to fix this? all the drivers are up to date.

The screen is shaking? Can you better describe that? If it's what I think you're getting at I had the same issue with my 550ti. Is the card set in properly? Is the monitor cable and or HD adapter/cable secured into the card and monitor tightly? That's what caused my issues.

Is this in games or in general at all times? Were all previous drivers completely uninstalled before installing the 560ti drivers?

Also, what's the aspect ratio set as in the nvidia control panel? What's the max resolution you can set to? Did you auto adjust your monitor or mess around with the settings of your monitor itself before or after installing the card/drivers? Try auto adjusting the monitor or setting the aspect ratio differently.

have you ever put your cell phone by your monitor and when you get a call or text it shakes? well thats what mines doing. its only doing it on the desktop and not in games.

the GPU is set in properly and all the connectors are connected all the way.

i uninstalled all the previous drivers of my old card. my screen resolution is set at 1680 x 1050
@ 60Hz

I've never heard of a phone causing interference with a monitor until now actually. I've heard of electromagnetic interference caused by cell phones affecting other devices or speakers and what-not. I did some googling and this is practically the only useful result that came up.

So this is only happening when your phone is near by?

yea, but the thing is that my phone is all the way in the other room and i have a lcd monitor

Word I assumed you didn't have a 10 year old crt but you never know. What phone do you have? Did you attempt all of the answers on wiki answers besides the ones that do not apply to your situation?

Yeah Im not sure what you mean by shaking. If you can specify what 560 Ti you have It could help a ton. What type of 560Ti are you useing? GeForce? ASUS? MSI?

i have a droid bionic as my phone. and ive tryed all the things they said on the fourms, including unpllugging and pluging back in my monitor and speakers.

i think it might have something to do with my power supply 6 pin connectors. cuz everytime the fan revs up kinda high thats when it does it. so im gonna try to use one of the 6 pin adaptors they gave me with the graphics card. the psu i have now is 850w but it has 2 6 pin connectors coming from the same strand and this graphics card uses 2 6pin connectors. so it might be drawing too much power. im gonna try that and if it doesnt work... well then idk whats goin on. i might have to send it back :-(

Move the phone as far away as possible. Everything that I've read seems to pinpoint your suspicion, that being the phone. If you have done everything said thus far, then you have to keep the phone as far away as possible.

It's strange that the phone is far away yet still causing interference and apparently this is possible with LCD monitors. Something may be amplifying the signal as well explaining why it's so far away.

Mess around with the refresh rate. Typically I wouldn't recommend that but it's worth a try. Adjust it differently and see if this helps at all.

if this happens EXACTLY when the phone receives calls or texts I doubt it's the monitor cables which could also cause similar if not the exact same issues.

My guess is that you probably got a bad card. Zotac personally doesnt make very high quality cards to begin with. Some of there lower end cards are ok but yeah. You might have to RMA it. Because it doesnt sound like any other issue except a grphics card issue if its just shaking when fans get faster

i just turned my phone off and took the battery out and put it in my truck and its still doing it. and i just tryed the thing with my power supply and it didnt work. and as far as the refresh rate thing. it wont let me change it. the only option it has is 60Hz. and when i change the resolution lower it just makes it worse

Sounds alot like a GPU problem. Your most likely going to have to RMA. If you want to stick with Zotac then you can but I would personally ask for my money back and buy from a more trust worthy brand like EVGA or ASUS/MSI something.

im gonna have to call them on monday to return it or see what they have to say. hopefully thier tec support isnt in a 3rd world country.

never mind. it isnt my graphics card thats the problem. its my monitor. i just ran my HDMI cable to my pc from my 32inch lcd hd tv and it didnt do that shaking while my monitor did. looks like im gonna have to shop for a new monitor.
