Newbie Here

Hey guys, new to BF3, joined eGO because I liked their server rules. I'm only rank 14 at the time of writing.

However, I'm no novice to online realism shooters. I've been doing realism FPS gaming since the days of Rainbow Six (yeah, the original) and think the original Ghost Recon series is one of the best things ever written. That said, here's what you can/should expect from me if you ever see me on the server (I play on the eGO HC City Mixed Maps server 90% of the time):

-If you are in my squad, I will try to support you. If you're not, you may find me following you around anyway. I rarely work solo unless I'm laying an ambush.

-If you want to form a locked squad of people who are going to work as a solid unit, let me know. I'm 100% for that.

-I will always try to support vehicles whenever I can, whether it's counter-AT or repairs.

-I am a patient son of a mother, and you can expect me to hold a single location as support or sniper for a long period of time. If you see me holing up in an obscure choke point, feel free to join me and let the bullets rain.

-If you need a designated idiot, that is to say, someone who runs out and does the stupid thing so that the rest of the team can get the tactical advantage out of it, just let me know and I will do it.

You sound like a perfect fit for our competitive team lol Go to the my groups tab and apply to join the competitive team. You will then get access to that forum where we discuss and post about tournaments, scrims and everything competitive. Coincidentally we have a competitive game tonight at 9est, feel free to join us on vent and watch how we run things etc. We have practices at 9EST on Tuesday's and Thursday's as well where we come up with strats, assign roles and also have various training sessions. We also have various events at 9est on Wednesday's and at 3est on saturdays, Shawn just posted a video from our saturday's Zombie event, have a look

In regards to supporting armor, I can always use a handy LAV repair guy, no one in eGO likes my LAV for some reason ?????

Haha, thanks all for the welcome. It looks like I need to learn how to be better with the knife, apparently.

As for the people who said "add me," I added you. If you didn't, I didn't. If you want me to, say so! Otherwise, I'll see you all around, for sure.

As for the competing-level play, we'll have to see if I can dedicate to it at all. Being old, with full time job and wife means I can't power-game like I used to. If you're okay with me only being semi-regular, that's fine. I'm usually a fast learner.
