I have a Dell V515w printer that has been nothing but a problem ever since I got it.

To begin, It cannot connect to my PC, even though I have put a USB connection in any of my ports. I have even tried to reinstall the printer multiple times, but it just can't connect to my PC.

If I try to print anything, It doesn't not respond, Even if its maintenance things like printer alignment and such.

Any help would be appreciated because I will need to use this printer for work.

Thanks, Luke.

Here's a picture of the printer for extra reference.

Check the printers website. Install the drivers for your correct OS off there. I had the same problem after I formatted my computer.

Hmm interesting. I actually have the V715w and couldn't be happier with it.

Luke, what version of Windows do you have?

I did encounter issues like this a couple of times but while trying to configure the WiFi printing for mine.

Try this: Completely uninstall the printer from Windows from the 'Control Panel' and not just 'Devices and Printers' (in 'devices and printers' you can right click it then choose 'remove device'). Once the software is uninstalled, unplug the printer from the PC and shut it off.

Reboot.

Before you plug it back into a USB port, wait until Windows settles down on the desktop. Go ahead and plug it in, but DO NOT turn on the printer yet.

Run the install software. Once it gets to the screen telling you to plug in the printer, turn it on and see if it recognizes it. Report back with how that goes!:)

I have Windows 7 (64BIT)

I'll try the drivers update, If that doesn't work, I'll try Skagnatti's idea.

Skagnatti, Your idea worked and the printer is now working great!
Thanks.
