Thoughts on points farming

I see what op is saying; it's not really the point farming so much as the griefing aspect. Like when the Heavy Sandwich achievement thing was going on, and players were just standing in spawn eating sandwich after sandwich.

More or less ya, and maybe they honestly think they are being "helpful" or something but it seemed rather obvious to me that they were just hiding where they couldn't be killed and building mini sentries over and over just for the points and not in any way to be helpful or actually play the game. It?s a good way to look cool without actually being cool lol. I just wanted to make sure it wasn?t something I should try and report or anything was my main reasoning for posting?

lol , if they want to waste their time farming points ,let them.

points , stats ,leader boards. these things seldom matter much anymore , now that the games balance is so wonky.

Plus the stats tend to get erased frequently so who cares.

actually not many even look at stats. most people earn a name for themselves by word of mouth.

if you have a nickname , then you have bragging rights

so,if everyone don't care about point in the rank system, why, WHY, WHY, they have the little hud with the rank position under the signature? O.O hmmm... i like points, i just prefer doing it with KD think, not farming with Engi class, i think that's a little stupid, i don't get fun building mini sentries and hidding in spawn, but, it's just what i feel, we all are free to do whatever you want, always respecting the rules...

Eh, if they want to get points that way, its pretty obvious on their stat page. Also, its not like points win you anything, so i guess it doesn't matter. Play to have fun!

I find it strange that this is brought up when your primary choices of class are Engineer and pocket Medic, the very source of point farming itself. Almost sort of hypocritical.

hence why points are irrelevant.

the top players tend to have pocket medics 24 7 , or are so good that they get pocket medics eventually.

This game is balanced around needing the medic to get things done.

I remember when I was on top, I had a roster of no less than 7 pocket medics
That is a major advantage no matter how you look at it.
