We've postponed events for a while until we get better participation. However, I'm always up to host if we get enough people together.

I put a thread in the Dota2 forum where I will be hosting a weekly game for eGO peeps every Saturday starting next week. Its not an officially sanctioned event, butit at least gives us a chance to game together

There's never any short notice. The events for a given week are posted by Sunday of that week. You can find them on this thread, the Dota 2 steam group, AND the in-game guild. Check those places to get the information you need.

If the only actual "notice" that is given is a thread bump the day before events start, that's short notice. Editing the OP doesn't alert anybody that the thread has been updated, nor do events posted to the Steam group or DOTA2 Guild present any kind of notice/alert until minutes before said event (in the case of Steam).

I would have checked this thread on Sunday and been made aware of the events then if it had been bumped appropriately, but I and likely a lot of others don't make a habit of visiting threads that don't appear to have anything new in them.

It helps now knowing that these things are all being updated regularly, but this was not true for the past few months and there was no communication that this was the case until now.
