Can't Connect to Strand Server

[Joe_The_Plumber]

Whenever I try to join the strand server I get this message:

"Couldn't CRC map maps/dod_strand.bsp, disconnecting"

What does this mean? It occurs as its downloading the server things, and I don't really know whats causing it. Do I need to delete that .bsp file so it redownloads or something?

You could give that a try to see if it works.

It means you should be on the Donner server. Play there for a week or so then try Strand again...if you still want to after enjoying Donner.

Download strand again via this link

http://gamebanana.com/dods/maps/16085

extract the contents of the zip to your dod folder. When it asks you to move and replace select yes to all. (Or you could manually remove strand.bsp and the appropriate cashe files associated with strand then extract the zip)

If the above doesn't work do the following.

Start up DoD.

Go to Options - Multiplayer - On the scroll down menu in the bottom right of the GUI menu select "Do not allow any downloads from the server"

Let me know if you can connect.
