What do you think of Diablo 3?

Or use the free authenticator for smartphones, then you don't have to worry abouthackers.

Dont get that authenticator. get the purchasable one.

I had the free one when I played WoW. I lost my cell phone and it took them 3 weeks to get me access onto my account.

Also, I believe quite a few of the people complaining about account issues said they had the authenticator.

So a person shouldn't get the smartphone app because you lost your own phone, and trying to get access back was a 3 week process. What would you do if you lost the purchased authenticator? Recommend people go back to the smartphone app? :glare:

The crafting system was never meant to make the bestest gear in the game. I use it to fill slots that haven't been upgraded in a while and have fallen behind, or to try out new weapon combos.

hate to burst all yall bubbles , but the hackers bypassed the authenticator
and they stole my stuff while i was playing. litterally error 60ed me changed my password stole my stuff and didn't even try to keep the account. and by the time i got it back all gone.

The reason why i say do not buy it is because in this case those affected were wide spread and apparently the loop hole is rather easy to exploit.

I am not saying do not buy it forever , what i am saying is do not waste your time right now until blizzard gets its act together and patches out the very game breaking stuff.

sigh now i am off to recoup losses ... giggidy

as for the whole account restore , let me clarify some things , at best they will restore you up to maybe a day ago , at worst several days.

also because i had to use account restore I am now one step from a permanent ban from the RAH.

Blizzard is very stingy with these things , two strikes and you could quite literally be SOL

Thx XD since i have BAC (a big test for all we learned this year) i'll buy when it's finished (in one month). I was going to buy soon but because of what you said i'll simply wait. xD

I played Diablo 2 and LOD, and I must say that I think they did a pretty good job with this game. I do admit that melee classes (monk and barb) are extremely gimped when it comes to late-hell and inferno. How can they fix that? I haven't the foggiest idea, but I think that something needs to be done to make them more viable classes. I've also heard a lot of people complain about the fact that there's only "one viable spec" to finish Inferno. As that may be SOMEWHAT true, I think people lose their perspective. The reason that diablo 2 had more "viable specs" is because Hell mode was an absolute joke. Anyone could solo it by the time you hit 85-90 with ease if you had any kind of OK gear.
The crafting system, I agree, is kind of stupid. The only reason I'm trying to level them both to 10 is because I want the achievements. You can spend 60k trying to get 1 good item for a level 25, or you can go spend 10k on the auction house and get 2-3 good items that are better than what you would have made yourself. it could be different in Inferno for the level 60 gear with all of the recipes and such you can find, but I haven't played much of inferno so I can't say yay or nay on that.
I think the gameplay (after Normal and most of nightmare) is wonderful on this game compared to Diablo 2. D2 was easy, D3 is hard. The scaling they did through the difficulties is immaculate where it gets exponentially harder as you go up them (Especially Hell -> Inferno. if you haven't played in inferno yet, you're in for a big surprise).

Overall, I give the game an A. Replayability is good, graphics are good, skills are good, crafting is meh, lore is awesome (I think ;), and I enjoy the friends list system MUCH better than Diablo 2.
