Connection issue in Battlefield 3 servers

Ive been playing on the Battlefield 3 servers for a few weeks now with no problem, but lately ive been having issues when in the server. eveytime im in there i always get kicked by punkbuster for no reason or the game will close and it will say "something went wrong". Any ideas of whats causing this?
( Sorry if i posted this in the wrong section.)

You need to update punkbuster, thats probably what is causing it

i just updated punkbuster and its still doing it. the main message i get is Game disconnected: you were kicked by PunkBuster. Stated reason: PunkBuster kicked player 'RedHawk2490' (for 0 minutes) ...

try to restore your computer to an earlier date

try typing into your start menu this:

- Services.msc
- Then stopping the services named SSDP Discovery, and uPnP Host.


That should fix the problem.

1. Visit and download Punkbuster Updater at - http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php [evenbalance.com]
2. Run the pbsetup.exe file, choose I agree.
3. Choose Add a Game > Battlefield 3 and click on Add Game.
4. Click on the Battlefield 3 name and click on "Check for Updates"
5. Allow Punkbuster to update the game and respond with "All versions are up to date."
6. If you wish to confirm, the section client version should state (v2.279 | A1386).

1. Please contact your game server provider to ensure you have the latest updates!
2. If you have rcon access try running the command:

!pb pb_sv_update

3. Please allow 30 minutes to an hour to update punkbuster. If you are unable to update punkbuster, or uncertain if the update has succeeded, contact your game server provider for support otherwise continue on.
4) Run the commands below separately in the order provided.

!pb pb_sv_restart
!pb pb_sv_ver

The server should reply with the below after !pb pb_sv_ver:

PunkBuster Server: PunkBuster Server for BF3 (v1.826 | A1386 C2.279) Enabled
PunkBuster Server: Game Version

What has been stated here should get you taken care of, most likely you need to manually update PB. If that doesn't fix it then let us know. I wouldn't restore to a previous date if it's still not working after the manual update then it's possible the whole game and PB will need to be uninstalled and reinstalled.

i just stopped the SSDP Discovery, and uPnP Host services and i dont get thoes messages anymore. now im getting kicked because the connection to server timed out, whatever that means. i guess im going to try to uninstall and reinstall the game ( will probably take 6 hours) to see if that works.
