That will be all

Honestly I am debating selling all my gear and getting the money back that I used to buy the game and quitting...Inferno is too stressful. But I guess I shouldn't because if an expansion is released and I decide to get it then I will be screwed. Hmmm nevermind, I will bang my head against Inferno till they nerf it in 1.0.3

I have pretty much quit Diablo 3 because of Inferno. The fact that you farm for weeks and weeks to get maybe 1 piece of new gear is quite ridiculous. I don't want to have to completely re-gear my toon every couple days just so I can go into the next act and get my butt whipped.

That is the entire point of diablo though....... it is a grind game where you grind the best gear in order to upgrade your character to kill inferno diablo as fast as you can, and once you have done that you grind some more to see if you can do it even faster.

Granted d2 had more leveling to do after diablo, but in a future release d3 should have that as well along with more acts.

Now all the real money AH will do is stop people selling items on ebay like they have been ever since d2 and create a safer environment to do so (bugs not included). This in turn creates a sort of equilibrium between people who have no time to grind for good gear (jobs/family/after work activities) who can afford to drop a few bucks on the AH, while at the same time there are those with the time to grind (highschool, college, pro gamers) but no money.

That sounds like WoW.

quit the game. I feel the exact same way as you , plus most of my mates already left diablo ..for minecraft and tropico , if that doesnt tell you anything then nothing will.

I already wasted 4.5 million on gear only to find every time said builds that use said gear are nerfed into oblivion or rely on some outrageously rare and overpriced piece of gear as to render the whole effort pointless.

and lets face it, torch light two will be 20 dollars and is made by the actual people behind diablo 2 (mostly, don't quote me on it).
And then guild wars will be out some time.

Not to mention that this game RaH has made it a massive target of bots . seriously the gold economy already is tanking due to the 60 mill a day bots and items are flooding the AH in massive quantities. Ive seen level 50 items selling for double what some level 60 items sell for.

and if you dont sell your gear then some one will hack you and sell it for you.

alas , once i get my brother to inferno. I think I will be done.

Going to do some rough calculations here:

To recoup your money, say $65, you'll have to get enough money to cover both the 15% listing fee that Blizzard charges, on top of the additional Paypal fees that's incurred. So, next I'll assume that the Paypal account is a regular user account, and not a business account (business accounts have lower discount rates than personal accounts).

"PayPal fees mainly apply to sellers, who pay a 2.9% transaction fee on the total sale amount plus a $0.30 fee per transaction."

So to get $65 back into our Paypal account (if you want it back in your back account, there are additional fees: 2.9% of total amount sent plus $0.30 per transaction (the sender decides who pays this fee)

(65+.3)/.95 = $68.74
68.74/.85 = $80.87 So to get your $65 back, you'll need to transfer at least $80.87 from your Blizzard.net account to a corresponding Paypal personal account.

If you were to buy the collectors edition (Was it for $100?), you'll just substitute 100 for the beginning amount of 65; in formula form, that's
(x+.3)/.95 = y => y/.85 = z
where x = price you want to get back; y= amount after Blizzard's fee; and z = initial amount to be transferred from your Blizzard.net account.

Last time I checked the Rmah can only be used on your blizzard account which is "blizzard Buck" to be used in their market. Paypal has nothing to do with it as you can not actually make money playing this game unless you are looking to buy multiple wow subscriptions.

See, this is kind of why I stopped playing WoW. People think about it too much. I took my time and casually played through the game, enjoying myself. Now that I have a lvl 32 monk, I'm probably going to go and start a new character, or play with some friends on normal. There's no real reason for people to get all pissy about how the AH is ruining the game. It's the people who react to the AH that are ruining the game. If you don't want to use the AH, don't use it. I've used it to upgrade gear for a grand total of maybe 15k. And I'm okay with this

here is the fundamental issue , you need the ah for inferno , there is no argument no other perspective , to do even moderately well in inferno you will need the Ah.
Even then the gear you need from the AH to actually do well in inferno is the 1 - 50 mill stuff.

now if you use the gold or Real money Ah is irrelevant as bots have pretty much ensured that normal people can't actually compete on a level even remotely close to what is required to get proper end game gear.

please by all means keep your current opinion if you have not reached inferno because pre inferno this game is so mind numbingly easy as to make the assassin creed games look challenging.

Because that is where the game falls apart.. the end game.

I am glad you seem to be having fun in the difficulties before inferno , personally the game is pretty fun nightmare - hell. enjoy it while it lasts .

but that would mean that you've played the game so many times on the same character. I'd start new characters or give it a few months break then start over.
