I decided I’d better write an intro since you may see me on server, and last night my presence concerned several of our fine admins. I’m Monkeybits, and I have the honor of being an advisor in the TF2 division. From time to time, I also play DoD and CS:S. I’m content to play without admin, but Council has been kind enough to set it up for me so that if I happen to be on server during an incident, or called in to deal with a problem, I will be able to do so.
Evidently there’s a separate list for entering servers wearing your tags, so for the present time, I have to come on server without my tags and add them after I’m on. If you see me on server doing that, have no fear, I really am eGO. You can check my admin status from console to verify if you’re worried. Should the possibility of imposters concern you, there are easy ways to tell who I am: I tend to be silly, but not spammy in chat and on mic. I do not use profanity, even the fairly mild stuff and instead tend to come up with random substitutes. I also don’t have a lot of hours on DoD, so I stink pretty solidly, though I will absolutely do my best.
For now, I’ve decided I need to acclimate myself to the division and determine how much time I will be devoting to DoD itself before I try joining a house.
I’ve had the opportunity to fire a couple of the battle rifles of WWII, including the M1 Garande, the Mauser K98, Lee Enfield and even an Arisaka on the range once. I prefer the M1, though the Mauser is an incredibly nice rifle.
I look forward to seeing you around on the servers.
