Q: When do events happen?
A: You can see when events will be happening in three places:
The "Upcoming Event Information" sticky has details for the next event.
You can also check the eGO calendar and the eGO TF2 Steam group calendar for information about events further in the future.

Click here for the eGO Calendar.

.

Q: How often are events held?
A: Events are usually held multiple days a week. However, the schedule of events often changes to accommodate the variety of events we have. The rotation of events varies every month. Check the calendar for more detailed information.

Q: Can I go to every event?
A: While most events are open to everyone, certain events are limited to specific people. For example, the Dog Tag scrims are only open to people of the proper rank (ex: Only anyone who is an e or eGO should show up to e vs. eGO). If you show up to an event you aren't supposed to be at, an Event Coordinator will let you know and ask you to leave.

Q: Are TF2 Events restricted to TF2 members only?
A: No. In general, any eGO member in good standing - including those from other Divisions - may attend any event (see the above question).

Q: What are the rules?
A: All normal EdgeGamers server rules apply. No warnings will be given. If you break one of these rules, you will be removed from the server as you would be on any other of our servers.

Additionally, some events have specific rules. Listen to the Event Coordinators, and follow their instructions. Failure to comply with rules as given by an Event Coordinator is also subject to sanction. Further information on each event and their rules can be found here.

Q: What servers are the events played on?
A: All TF2 events (with the exception of Road Trips) currently take place on the TF2 Event Server. The IP address is "68.168.100.122:27015". Make sure to add it to your favorites!

Q: How long are events?
A: Generally, all events last roughly one hour. This time isn't necessarily firm as some leeway is given due to people getting on the servers. The Event Coordinators have discretion in determining the appropriate length of a given event.

Q: Are events always scheduled for North American times?
A: Although the Event Coordinators predominantly schedule events at a time most convenient for North Americans, they can be accommodating for other time zones. This is entirely dependent on the demand for and attendance at alternative time zone events.

Q: Who are the "Event Coordinators"?
A: The Event Coordinators are responsible for creating, scheduling, and hosting all TF2 related events for the eGO TF2 Division.

The Event Coordination team is a reflection of the transition from a traditional Leadership operated program to one run specifically by non-leadership eGO ranked members and one or two Advisors.

By having non-Leadership members responsible for the TF2 Events program, the intent is to offer eGO level members an environment to continue growing their leadership abilities, provide an opportunity for giveback, and ultimately have more direct involvement in day-to-day operation of eGO operations.

Event Coordinators are in charge while an event is running, so please listen to them. You can find them listed here.

Q: What is the goal of the Event Coordinators?
A: To foster and promote positive and respectful relationships for all eGO members who play TF2 by planning and offering TF2 related events for the entire spectrum of players regardless of age, sex, skill, or competitiveness, while upholding the general principles of EdgeGamers.

Q: As an eG, am I eligible to participate in the Event Coordinator team?
A: The Event Coordinator team is intended for eGO level members.

Q: How do I join the Event Coordinators?
A: Membership to the Event Coordinators is done on an as-needed basis when vacancies or other needs arise. Qualifications for membership include, but are not limited to, your ability to communicate, work as part of a team, overall standing and presence within the eGO TF2 Community, and what ideas you can bring to the Event Coordinators. Contact an EC Advisor (currently Activate or Noise) for more information.

Q: Can I make a suggestion?
A: Yes. If you have an idea for an event or just want to suggest a map, you can PM an Event Coordinator Advisor or leave a message in the Dropbox.

Q: Can I report a problem I had?
A: If you have a problem in an event, please contact an Event Coordinator Advisor.

Feel free to contact an Event Coordinator or an Event Coordinator Advisor with any questions, comments, or concerns you may have. They will respond to you promptly and professionally.
