de dust server

guys ive noticed that the de dust server isnt very populare i think if we had more of a populer map or something like that on it or something like zombies or something i mean people like that kinda map to i mean something new for people to play i think it would pick up the server population on it to and it would be better for us

I don't know much about the history of a zombie server and eGO but I'm pretty sure we've tried it before and it didn't work out.

You'll get some good answers from other people though ;o.

yea ok so i think if we tryed something diffreent the most people ive seen in dust is like 20 people and then it drops to like 10 so i mean come on man we need to do better

We did try zombie server before but it didn't do well. Besides the mod is broken.

This is a pretty beat up topic.

The server was switched to Aztec for a couple weeks, and there was such an outcry from dust regulars that it was switched back.

It was also discussed to turn it into a zombie server, map rotation server, gun game server... all of which were shot down due to past experiences.

I don't think dust will go away for awhile, even though I agree with you that it needs a fresh update. Zombie will not work, and the powers that be know this. I was a huge supporter of Aztec

The dust server is doing better than it was. I don't see any changes planned for it in the next month.

dust is the only map where I know what people are talking about.
i especially love the conflict once everyone reaches the middle.

there's nothing wrong with dust, it's doing good.
i even met Nigerian Horseplay the other day.

Since dust was changed to Aztec then changed back to dust it has been doing much better as far as population. If anything needs a revamp it's the high school server which has the lowest server rank. I think if more people tried the map it would grow. Dust server is fine

We also added more dust to Dust thus allowing it to be grittier and even more intense when those dust storms roll on through.

Sadly both Dust and Dust 2 are too dusty for my liking D:!

ill agrue the point that it fills up at night it really doesnt ive seen it at 1 or 2 am or even 10 pm at night it doesnt ever go above 20 people

yes but our other servers like dust 2 and italy stay full almost all the time us eGs and egos that play in italy and dust2 make sure when the server gets full the specs get warned if they dont join and team they get kicked so that we can keep room for other people that wana come in and play as well

From my experience from the past several months, de_dust does well until late at night / early in the morning (~3 am). However, I've rarely seen it full like I have with the italy server. Ultimately, I'd rather play a rotation server but de_dust is doing fine.

Dust 2 really is the only server we have that stays full most of the time its up. The other servers stay close but in the end usually average 24+ people and Office around 32+ people.

I just gave Dust a try today and the only thing that bothers me is the size compared to Dust2.

Other than that its a pretty decent server to play on. Aside from it dying down eventually like all the other maps around 12am.
