Hey everyone-
Don't know if anyone knows this or not, but I do it after every update and after every time I download a new map, just to keep things running smooth. I hear many people complain about lag issues even when their ping is normal. Many times, if you verify your game cache, it will help IMMENSELY.
From the Steam Library, right click on Day of Defeat: Source
At the bottom is 'Properties'
the far right tab is 'Local Files'
the bottom option is 'Defrag game files', do that first-
second from the bottom is 'Verify integrity of Game Cache'
It takes a minute, but if you do it more often if won't take that long, and it really does help things to run smooth.
If you knew this already, then disregard. If not, give it a try, it won't hurt anything- you may be amazed!
