So recently we have been dealing with alot of respect/disrespect type issues on our cs:s servers.

First thing i want to say is:

If your a member of eGO and your not following the rules and your disrespecting fellow players and admins or even former members your screwing up. More so than anyone else on the server.

There is no reason for this and I will not tolerate it.

Second if you see someone who is a member and is not following the rules please do what a couple others are doing and contact one of us admins or a trainer or a advisor. Just grab someone. By the time someone grabbed me today the whole server was in on it telling the eGO member to be quiet. I want to try to handle it before we disrupt everyone's game play.

If you don't have me friended please feel free to do so. I am not hard to find :)

I second this.

Even as an "e" you are held to a higher standard that our average pub user. Reason being, you are representing eGO. You should be fully versed on our server rules and abide by them.

You can also add me on steam as well and I'd be happy to assist you or solve the situation at hand.

Thanks Chupp for posting this!!

Its hard to see this happening, especially when a fellow eGO member is involved in the matter.

Also, for fellow eG's please do not go and take the matter into your own hand. Always contact an eGO or someone higher up to deal with the situation personally as to not escalate it further. A simple warning in admin chat is fine, but if the matter persists, take it up with and eGO, AT or Advisor if the matter calls for that.

Thanks for the post Chuppa!

eG's are expected to know how to handle most situations, especially the most common issue of erratic disrespect on a server. If someone is being abusive towards other players, you should warn them about the rules (skip if it's an e as they already signed off on the rules), kick them if they continue, and if they continue after being kicked, silence them while you look for an eGO+ who can ban the abusive player.

That being said, if you don't know how to handle the situation, you should then find an eGO who might be able to help.

As far as i seen i don't see any of My CSS Admins Disrespect we may play around
Like OMG Hackshot but we don't mean no harm I trust all my Fellow Admins
to follow these rules if they dont there will be consequences.

While I do agree its never a good idea to escalate the matter anymore than where it has already been. Yes, W/K/B is to be followed (aside from kicking directly if it is an eGO member) after I would step back and allow the matter to be handled by someone higher up.

I guess I wasn't too clear on that and skipped something I should have mentioned (i.e. the W/K/B that Kaspitone stated).

Thanks for clearing up what I should have said Kaspitone.

Remember it's also about discretion as well. When we are 100% to the letter we start driving away players. We bring quality people into this organization when we use our minds and start treating other players like human beings.

I personally rarely use all chat but speak to them in public chat. It calms a lot of people down as it quickly separates decent players from people looking to be disruptive.

How would we deal with former eGo admins that come and disrespect I ran into that yesterday and I was quite frustrated with it. I did grab someone eventually but I got yelled at for telling other admins about the disrespect he was showing.

The same as a pub. Just because they used to be an admin and might still have friends in eGO, it does not give them a right to disrespect other players. If it escalates to the point that admins are ignoring the abuse because of their past history, file a neighborhood watch in the dropbox.

Also when warning a player about disrespect it usually helps to warn privately so they don't feel the need to "save face" and talk back when they usually would comply. psay_player name works best. Also please remember to be polite too like saying please and also thank you and etc. Sometimes you might have several infractors at once and then it's okay to send general warning about the behavior.

We as admins do tease eachother playfully often and it's always better to do it in admin chat so it doesn't catch on like wild fire to pubbers... or even steam chat would be best if there are a lot of admins in game so as to keep admin chat clear.

We aren't teasing you, we are voicing our disappointment when you toggle on your hacks and getting all of the kills, crypto.

As we handle issues like this, remember not to get upset. Especially with previous members who will go out of their way to upset you.

By you getting upset, you will let the other person know they are getting to you.

Get pissed? Come find me in a rated r cs:s room and lets talk all about it.

Kaspitone and Snooch, I thought we were going to keep this a secret!?! psst, don't tell Cryptex or evilbear... It will be regular payment as usual. lol (note to self: ban them)

And as Ric said, come find any of us and we will be more than happy to talk to you about it and help in any way we can. The willingness of any admin to leave game play or whatever they are doing and join you in vent or ingame is 1 of the reasons we are the #1 online gaming community in the USA! Proud to be here and I hope you are too. Add me on Steam.

I haven't noticed any misguided ego members in the dust server, but that is unfortunate. The trolls are inevitable, but the least we can do is respond in a timely fashion.
