Getting into DOTA 2?

To get into the beta right now, all you have to do is just sign up and do that survey? My friend and I were just wondering for those of you that are playing right now.

You can do that or you can get a beta invite from someone who has some invites to hand out

Its not instant, and its not even guarenteed, it might take a few weeks

But im predicting a mid September release date, so if you dont get in it will be out soon

They have 18 heroes left to put out before game will be ready and even then they need to test all of the heroes to fix any bugs I highly doubt a mid September release. Not to mention CS:GO is coming out this month, so I doubt they will do game releases so close to each other.

I'm thinking christmas personally. They are freezing all new heroes until after TI2 but with 3 heroes / week we are looking at somewhere around there.

I actually just paid the 30 bucks to get into the beta, after waiting months and months to get in, was well worth it.

Expect a much longer release, until after international they will not release new heroes, 18 left after that, Plus the estimated 30 new heroes. I have a friend who works with one of the dota team members.

Plus, they already said in a semi press release that the game is ready for release, but is waiting on better servers to handle the massive number of expected players

30 new heroes? Source? Also, they are currently still working on the 18 heroes just not releasing so I bet after TI2 we'll see ~ 12 heroes released in one week
