Do you NOT HAVE the original Day of Defeat, got Day of Defeat WITH Day of Defeat Source, bought Day of Defeat BEFORE Day of Defeat Source, Bought Day of Defeat AFTER buying Day of Defeat Source. I bought them at the same time, what about you?

I got Day of Defeat: Source with my Counter Strike: Source because I bought the retail version of CSS. I bought the Counter-Strike 1 Anthology Pack when it was on sale after so I got DoD Classic with that.

Honestly, I don't remember. Thought DoD and DoD:S came with HL and HL2?

The earliest Alpha version (before the game was sold to Valve/Activision) was a free download mod that the gaming group I was in at the time (F.A.S.T. Clan) begin hosting on our server in 2000. To my knowledge, we were one of the first, if not the first, to put it online, after being approached by the lead developer. I don't recall his name -- just that he went by the tag, "Axis."

Been playing it ever since. Lost count after 75,000 kills ...

I played a bit of 1.3, but never owned it. Owned DoDS since before I can remember, but didn't plan on playing it when I picked it up. I originally bought a retail version of CSS where DoDS was packaged with it. Turns out that DoDS was the more enjoyable game, so I stuck with that.

Never played the original. It was just luck that i found this game to begin with. My Freshman year in Highschool, i was in our Business Information Management (BIM for short) class and since using Microsoft programs is so easy its painfully boring i was done halfway through the period with my work. So one day i decided to go onto the steam website and check out some trailers of games and found Day of Defeat: Source trailers packed with the other Valve games. Now at this time, i had only heard of TF2 and was a major Portal fan (I already had Portal 2 pre ordered i believe. Don't remember when it came out.) So when i found yet another Valve game, i couldn't wait to see what it was

I personally love WWII with a passion. Its my favorite war and nothing comes close to it in my eyes. So when i see a WWII video game that was in my computer's specs i knew i just had to have it. So i bought it the next day. At first i just played with a bunch of random servers that the admins were so generous to allow a talkative little brat play on their servers. Then one day i decided to take a break from my norm and found myself on the eGO Flash server. There, i saw Fubar ask if anyone wanted to join eGO. Me being a newbie to the game saw a clan as an easy way to learn the basics and progress further through the game. So i jumped at the opportunity. From that day on i only played on eGO servers.

TL;DR: eGO is my Life!!!

There are 2 day of defeats WHAT! I like Blue bought CSS (from best buy) and got DoDs and a couple others with it and have enjoyed DoDs the most.

I purchased the original dod when I was a kid. I used to play it with dial up. I played before steam was a platform for gaming. And then steam source adopted the program and some time later I got myself dod source.

I got Day of Defeat: Source with my Counter Strike: Source because I bought the retail version of CSS.

Me too. Steam had a free weekend of DOD:S and I have been hooked ever since. My first map was Jadg.

Got DoDs in 07 with "valve super pack". Didn't play much but I played on eGO servers when I did. Only joined eGO when I played on our TF2's for a while though. Glad I found my love of DoDs, annoying I waisted a few years though!

I played DoD 1.3 first time through my friends account, fell in love with the Overlord-map. (and bayonets). Then when DoD'S was introduced, my roommate bought it and again, i was the one who played it first. Few years passed without DoD'S (my mistake) and i brought myself together and purchased it finally last December, and didnt last many days to find myself from eGO-servers. Rest is history. :)

I played DoD 1.3 a lot. I started in CS but found I enjoyed DoD a lot more. I found some friends and we started playing in leagues. When DOD:S came out, I still played 1.3 because I didn't like Source. I just started playing DOD:S about a year ago.

Ive been playing since original(miss it) and got DoD:S with CSS bundle but I still prefer original I just cant find any server with low enough ping lol

I bought half-life one day it just happened to come with HL, CS, Blue shift, and opposing forces; blue shit and opposing force were just a different character perspective to HL which were relatively short. And I noticed I had DOD one day hoped on an ava server and fell in love with the game, and the huge variety of guns

Back when the carbine was a class of its own... not the rocket. And when Flash had British players and the einfeld was a weapon and it was like a k98. Back when there were like 10 classes and the classes changed based on the map.... that was awesome. Then like others I played the DOD:S free weekend and decided I was buying it and picked up a copy sometime the following week.

eGO just happened to be a server I jumped on.... it had rankings which intrigued me, and there weren't a bunch of annoying kids or overly blatant things happening that made the game un-enjoyable. Ever since I've never played outside of an eGO server and probably never will. Coming up on what is about to be my 4th yr with this clan.... not group cause up until about 3 months ago... I was a binge player and usually only played once or so a yr hardcore for maybe a month.... but at this point I'd rather hop on vent and chat up yuns. Its a guaranteed good time. Thanks
