I'm looking to build a new rig in the near future and so I need to know if PCI Express 2.0 x16 Graphics Card fit in PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot on Motherboard? If so, what is the difference between them? Is 3.0 better than 2.0? If 3.0 isn't better then what is it for? Thank you. :biggrin:

yes it will fit all pci express slots are compatible only difference is how fast the slot communicates with the bus..1.0 speed is 2.5 GT/s 2.0 is twice that 5 GT/s and 3.0 is about 8 GT/s
