Hey guys I have an Idea for eGO! lets try out a basewars on gmod, thats the gamemod I was addicted to on gmod for a long time. with such a Great community I think we could make a good one. I have tons of friends that love Gmod and play basewars so it would be hard populating it! and if you guys would like to ive been working on a map for gmod and thinking about making a map for the Jail server for you guys to try out but i dont have a name for the maps yet.

I'm sure a member of leadership will correct me on this, but from what I understand, Garry's Mod takes a lot of resources to host a server on. To do that, would require us to shut down our other game servers just to host one game server.

A group of us playing the mod, that's fine and go for it. But asking for eGO to host a Gmod server, I have my doubts of that succeeding (though feel free to ask).

You could always put this in the Drop Box as a suggestion, but if I remember correctly Leadership has before considered supporting Garry's Mod as a game, but it never went far because of the obscene amount of resources required to host a Garry's Mod server.

I think that would have to shut down at least half of the TF2 Division servers to host 1 Garry's Mod server, for example.

I would be all for a gmod server of any kind. I was once addicted and I have nearly a thousand hours logged. I played before steam started actually keeping track so I probably have well over 1500. Anyways this would be awesome! The only downside is that gmod is hard to find cheap hosting because it has so many stability issues. I rented a server for about 4 months and had a really popular DarkRP server. I just couldn't afford to support it anymore, hopefully eGO could do more!

It just takes way too much to run a Gmod server. The mods, the maps, game modes, it is just a heavy game for only having like 6 or so boxes already close to full.
