[Realism Campaign 8] HQ/Discussion

This thread has been stickied. Refer to this thread for all updates regarding team rosters, squad rosters, chain of command, weekly battles, and weekly battle results. If there are questions, keep them coming, your TA's are happy to answer them.

I was told Pubs could join in on this as well, and as such registered for it, but don't see my name on the roster..:confused:

Roster is not updated in real-time. Your name will be added in about 40 minutes from now when I update it.

Questions about ranks, specifically the corporal:
Does being a corporal have other responsibilities than what is described in the realism handbook?

Just curious :)

Not unless you are assigned a specific task by your team's command staff. To answer your question, by default, no.

Quick question about squads:

Last week in the realism battle, I was assigned to Boyle's squad. I thought the list would change this week, but it still says i am assigned to Nuke's squad. I am confused, am i with Boyle's squad or with nuke's squad?
 
It would be awesome if there were spies that can sell you intel they have gathered from meetings, which would require points that you gain by winning battles or something.

You have been assigned to Nuclear's squad the entire campaign. I have looked back through roster archives to confirm this. If you played for boyle's squad during a battle, it was most likely due to his squad being low on players for that night. For further clarification, feel free to talk with your command staff, as TA's are generally not closely involved in those sort of decisions. To answer your questions, you are with Nuclear's squad unless told otherwise by Nuclear.

Thank you for the idea. However, that is not something we will be discussing or implementing in the future.

my apologies for the outdated campaign map and roster. My primary rig had some technical glitches early this week so I am on a secondary computer without access to photoshop, etc. All notes and images will be updated after the weekend.

Since I am new to the whole realism campaigns. I am just curious to know when the next, if there's any, campaign will be?

As well, will the roster remain the same, along with promotions? or the 9th campaign will start with a clean slate? [probably an obvious question, but i'd love to ask anyway :) ]

There will be another campaign, campaign #9, and it will start sometime in November or December, the exact date has not been announced.

The roster between campaigns will be rebuilt from scratch, using the new applicants for campaign 9. Promotions earned in the campaign will also be reset, with the exceptions of the 3 command staff members on each team.

Looks real interesting, skimmed through the handbook and would love to join. If there is any openings that is, is it usually lots of people interested and hard to attend the event?
