Cheating Discussion.

Well for starters, it is something I just will not do. It is not fun and it is not a challenge to play.

However playing on a server when you suspect someone is cheating. Like a kill ratio of 100 to 17. On a full server?

How do you find out if someone is cheating?

I know we all hate to throw the "CHEATING" card out there because it is annoying. However when a person has that kind of ratio the game does not seem fun.

Last night on the Ava server I spec'd a player that had a high count like this. I unloaded on him and he still had 100 health. I spec'd him and he would seem to be moving very fast and would turn a corner and bam, shot and kill one shot. Then I noticed that ever gun even rifles were shooting like a MG.

I am not reporting anyone here, I just though we could have a discussion about cheating.

What to do, how to determine, what to look for, etc.

Is a very high ratio a sign in a full server?

Curious what others think.

don't know if I've ever actually seen it in DoD but you have to remember that a lot of people set their mouse sensitivity high for faster reactions etc. prefire is also annoying but not really cheating. plus, i have to say as a freshman in high school all i did was play CS 1.5 and it is possible to get that good if you play a lot (i suck now dont worry) but yeah i used to go 100 for 10 and stuff. watch where their crosshairs are and how the spread looks, on cs it doesnt match up if they are cheating

I agree, with a lot of game play I think one can get that good, but is it rare with no tweaks at all? Are there legit tweaks?

Here's what you do.

1)come to the forum, post in the chatbox for an admin.
2)Use steam friends to get an admin in the server.
3)Go on vent, request and admin in the servers (THERE IS ALWAYS AN ADMIN IN VENT 99& off the time). the admin will come in and take care of the issue.
4)That is all.

If none of the above are possible:

Take a Demo, post a request ban, and send it in.

you have nothing to lose. if the person isn't cheating, then nothing will happen. if the person is cheating, then they will be banned.

determining if someone is cheating on our servers is the job of the council members. They have ways of doing this.
