Your speed is fine for any type of online gaming imo, you shouldn't get any lag is that your concern?

Its not a bad speed, I'll tell you that, you shouldn't have much lag other then the occasional lag spike especially if your on wireless . here's mine, I'm unhappy with my upload >.<

That is an average download speed.
I had 4 mb/s until I upgraded to 20 mb/s but only get 12mb/s i am my area :S

unless you are a long ways away from the router, you won't see those kind of drops. You are actually seeing those kind of drops becuase of your distance from the main ISP hub.

What will happen with wireless vs wired connections, you won't see the amount of dropped packets. You will see more "spikes" on wireless.

The constant speed below advertised has nothing to do with the router.

If you're paying more than 30$ for that, I'd consider finding some other internet company if possible.
